On which channel is the WI-Aus T20 being telecast in India?
India lack the big hitting prowess something which the Windies excel in, its going to be much needed on the bigger UAE outfields except probably Sharjah!

Its not being telecast in India but can be streamed on the Fancode app. Have not tried it though. Was kept busy by the Euro and the Copa

Not streaming here.
You can watch the highlights on WI you tube channel.
It's always fun to see Aussies lose

+1. I was watching the highlights on YT, the sound when the ball hits (on headphones) is amazing, due to the empty stadiums. WI was hitting sixes @ 90+ meters, that's more than enough for the small grounds in UAE. This WI team has the mix of youth, experience and mavericks all suited for T20. I will be rooting for them.

The universe boss can't be written off yet. I really hope he can sign off with a World T20 title.

It was a surprise. Ireland beating South Africa in 2nd ODI.

It will be streamed on Sony Liv and if not on any of the premier channels, it will definitely be available on FanCode app.

On a different cricket match, what a performance the second strung England ODI side has displayed by defeating Pakistan side by 3-0. The chase in 3rd ODI was particularly fantastic and even their second string side bat till 8th.

Re: The Cricket Thread

An Indian player has tested positive for the delta variant in the UK. This was bound to happen considering the long gap after the WTC and the test series. Team is bound to travel to Durham today for entering the bio bubble before the warm up game.

Re: The Cricket Thread

It's Rishabh Pant, and he has been in quarantine for about a week now, per cricinfo. Had to happen, given the long break and the Euro and Wimbledon happening

Re: The Cricket Thread

There are actually 2 players who are Covid positive. One has already returned negative in recent tests and other will be tested again on 18th. One player is Pant but the others name has not been revealed. I believe our players have become a little casual in UK and not using masks when in public as is evident from Pant's this pic.

I watched the highlights of this match and it was actually a pretty dull experience. The batsmen simply kept whacking the balls away. There was no finesse or artistry in any of the shots, except pure muscle power and heavy bats; but then that is probably the highlight of T20.
Seemed a pretty vacuous affair esp. with no crowds.

I'm not too sure if masks are compulsory in England, but the BCCI should have advised the players to wear them at all times during this short break. Jay Shah wrote to the players a few days back I believe to be careful, this when the vacation was about to get over!

Masks are compulsory in UK wherever people gather or in indoor places. Just that during Euro 2020 nobody bothers. And it is not mandatory when you are walking around. Many chances of getting infected if one is not careful.

With 35 needed off last over, Northern Irish club cricketer, John Glass smashes 6 sixes to help his team win title clash.
