I am going to watch this test series to see Ganguly play. One of the best captains India has ever seen. After the betting scandal that rocked world cricket, Ganguly proved his worth by captaining the side and bringing glory to India.

He himself is a firm believer in the young brigade and nutured some brilliant players to come good at the top most level.

His fixated glare from under that helmet, the offside shots which probably were the most beautiful strokes ever will be missed.

Thank you Saurav Ganguly you served the Indian Cricket to the best of your abilities, you will forever be known for your grit and determination and ofcourse your never die spirit.

Yes, Ganguly will be remembered for his 'Give it back to the opponent' attitude, for his captaincy and his offside shots. His best Test innings, probably, being the counter attacking hundred at Brisbane during the '04 series.

Thats true for all 11 players. Cricket is always surprising and injuries will happen. Am hopeful though he will.

Kumble to Ponting, 3 runs, He has done it. Slower ball, wide, and guided away towards point to reach his first century in India. While taking the third run, he starts the celebration, punches the air with the bat in hand. What a moment, the celbrations go for longer than usual, deservedly so

Century from Ponting. He came here with a mission and proved what he is capable of. Great show PONTY.

Actually when we have a poll India usually looses. For eg. India vs SL ODI we didnt have a poll & we won! Aussie line up did look weak on paper , but they seem to off a good start.

No no, I was eagerly waiting to see his performance after he aired his preparations for spinners.

When Sachin scored last 2-3 centuries extending the numbers, Ponting was telling that the gap has grown highlighting that he was behind that record. Hope sachin maitains the 4 no gap at the end of this series

If he is injury free am hoping atleast 2 centuries in this series from him!

The difference between the two teams is their skippers. While Ponting scored a fabulous century, Kumble had been thoroughly ineffective. Not only he has not bowled any wicket-taking delivereis but he is also dishing out lots of rubbish, making scoring easy for the aussies.

For last 2-3 series this has been the story for him, he takes some cheap lower order wickets and ensures his place in the team. There had been lots of hue and cry over the 4 veteran batsmen but hardly any over Kumble.

Time for him to bow out as well I guess.

Yep, Ganguly will be remembered as the captain who gave a backbone to the team.

Regarding the current test match, Sehwag got to bowl the last over before lunch and cricinfo commentator says:
"Sehwag gets the ball. At least he spins the ball." LOL.

The same commentator was ridiculing Kumble, repeatedlt stating how in-effective he had been.
