HORRIBLE NEWS...

Sri Lankan Team attacked in Pakistan. Sketchy information coming on the news now. Some players injured - 7 or 8 in hospital. 4 policeman dead. Not much details though and the above given numbers may be different.

Very very disturbing.

Now there are reports that the Sri Lankan team is safe.

But cricket in Pakistan -- bye bye for now. World cup 2011 may suffer.

According to CNN-IBN 3 players are seriously injured ... Thilan Samaraweera, Ajantha Mendis and Kumara Sangakara.

Sanga is one of my fav player .. Today morning I was watching one of the finest innings which he played in IPL.

Man .. this is terribly sad news ...

Jayawardene, K Sangakkara, Mendis, Samarveera are being shot.

Samarveera's injuries are said to be more serious.

Lankan team fired at in Pak, Sangakara hurt
8 sri lankan players injured, two of them pretty serious
they first attacked with rocket launcher...plan was to destroy the whhole bus
when that failed, they threwe hand grenades on the bus
and then open firing for nearly 25 minutes
12 terrorists were there...none captured or killed
4-5 policemen killed
a miss by rocket launcher....it actually hit a shop and whole shop gutted within second!

Jayasurya is confident that none of them were directly hit by a bullet, just the debris. Hope that is true.
