England 152-2 after 60 overs, less than 50 overs remaining. Looks like the match is fizzling out to a boring draw.

The reason I wanted Pathan and Powar as all-rounders in my proposed team is precisely for this kind of a situation. We need more teeth in the bowling attack in order to bowl out the opposition twice. But on the other hand with Ganguly and Laxman playing so well, it would be impossible for the selectors to drop them. Of course Tendulkar and Dravid cannot be touched either. So it looks like our team will continue to be packed with batsmen and all-rounders will not be able to get in.

The great Don Bradman wanted only four specialist batsmen in his team, together with an all-rounder, a wicket-keeper (picked for keeping skills rather than batting) and five specialist bowlers. Of course Bradman himself was the equivalent of two top-class batsmen, so that formula may not work out for other teams.

I see 2 good Indian prospects in this team...robin morris & Reetinder Sodhi, all the rest are mostly crap or upcoming cricketers without any definite futures because of the presence of the old & mighty in the indian cricket team. I feel sad for I. Haq & M.Younis that they have been relegated to this level.

1ST ODI

England 288/2 in 50 overs

India 34/4 in 12 overs.

He he he, the old brigade just does not want to give it to the new ones yet. What stops dravid from sending dhoni, yuvraj & karthik ahead of himself & ganguly ???

Lovely game today, am so loving to see that on the same pitch that the English batsman were having a feast, our batsman seem to have discovered a King Cobra!

STOP the b******* ... why is every win taken as a pre decided result -- and if we have one bad day why do so many questions crop up !!! Just the way the media went mad about why wasn't the follow on enforced instead of concentrating teh series win ..... Just what if we had lost after enforcing follow on and drawn the series ???? Then everyone wud have been baying for Dravids blood .....

What is this mentality .... either support them or don't support them !!!! Its like a typical trait where you have a million ppl as friends ( u think that ways ) just coz you are in a powerful position or have loads of money but the min this goes or starts to sink ... you suddenly realise you are all alone -- the so called friends have VANISHED !!!

I don't think I need to say more ...................

Wonder why he could not have been promoted to No.3 instead of the pathetic gambhir, uthappa certainly would have taken the fight to the poms.

As Greg Chapell said,Yuvraj Singh should not have been such a talented player for his own good.

Look at the untalented Dinesh Karthik, give him the worst possible conditions/situations to play in seems to be the strategy right now.

Just had a look at the bowling analysis, why is Agarkar in the team even,he has more off days than good ones.

Before the series began there where media reports like the saurav gang reunites[something like that] with saurav, zaheer, sachin and somebody else I forgot being away from the team, while dravid being on his own and things like that so won't be suprised if we recieve a real drubbing in this one day series just look at how we played against the england A team[lions].

Another show of no temperament by the FAB 4. We should have gone out all guns blazing, instead we go down in a whimper.

Why change the opening pair again and again ? Sachin needs to play down the order as it is he plays dabbles and dibbles so why not leave the opening to more attacking batsman ?

Karthick continues to impress with sensible, no nonsense batting.

Fab 3 scored 65 runs in 111 *****. Look at what your Fab 3 Juniors scored, 22 runs in 78 *****. Does the responsibility to score runs lie on the shoulders of SSD (Sachin, Saurav, Dravid)? This is a freaking team game.

England went up against Australia chasing a score of some close to 200 odd and were some 34/5. They went onto tie the match with Jones playing a gem of an innings. Before someone comes back and says what about the bowlers, Gillespie, Lee, Hogg, Glen, Harvey all played. If England team could to it with their youngsters why not us? Or is it that our youngsters have all the rights to hang up their boots and say look ma my senior 4 didn't play either?

First people complain they didn't get a chance to prove themselves. And when they get they don't make use of it. Goes to show that even our younger players are as useless as the senior most players are. Don't tell me that Karthik played well, he did. But thats not enough in a team game. I can show you every game where some player or the other has played well.

The less we talk about the media the better. They accused Dravid indirectly of match fixing in TOI claiming that he dropped Vaughan's catch intentionally. And, how the genius' figured out? First 3 ***** of the over Dravid wears his goggles on his cap, 4th ball he wears it on his eyes which is when he dropped the catch. So is that some indication? This was the basis for their suspicion.

I really wish the game against the England Lions had not been washed out. The team was flooding with youngsters. Would have really put a nice perspective to all the rubbish being brandished here and the gaga surrounding the younger players. Go have a look at their bowling. In the entire match there were only two ***** bowled worthy of a mentioning. One was a bouncer by Zaheer that struck Vikram Solanki on the helmet and shook him up big time. The other was the wrong one by the kid Piyush, that kid has some talent . The only good outcome from having played all the younger players seem to be the brilliant fielding.

Yes, the senior players are useless. Why can't the youngsters stand up in such cases and take charge? If they can't they don't seem to be deserving a place in the team either. So basically, Indian team itself sucks. They can neither bat or bowl or field. So stop watching. Give us some peace of mind.
