Vendors are out selling flags, T-shirts, caps et all. The entire police force & traffic force seems to be stationed around the ground. The fans have already started pouring in. All this at 7am for a match scheduled at 2:30pm. Crazy stuff I say. Best wishes to both the teams.

I think that polarization is inevitable. Especially when the B3 are reputed to have thrown their weight around the team during the past. Indians have gone in for 4 seamers including Pathan, plus Ramesh Powar as spinner. The pitch looks like it has some early morning juice, but could die out as the match progresses. I will be watching Pathan closely; hope he makes a good comeback with bat and ball. Its going to be tough for him and the other bowlers, as the Aussies are very good players of pace bowling even when the pitch has something in it for the seamers.

The Big 3 will also be watched very closely. They will be feeling the heat as this time there will not be much room for failure and there is a lot of competition for the 6 batting spots (with the likes of Karthik, Rohit Sharma and Uthappa sitting it out).

The Aussies certainly are walking the talking. Brilliant batting display by Clarke. He has always done well against the Indian's when the chips were down. I am a strong believer that he is the most dangerous Australian batsmen for India. Then come Ponting, Hayden, Gilchrist. Hats off to the Australians for showing the way the game should be played inspite of loosing early wickets.

Can someone please tell me what is Dhoni upto? Irfan after bowling brilliantly still doesn't get to finish his quota of overs. But inspite of being thrashed around the park RP Singh gets to complete his quota of overs. Its starting to look like there is favourism in the team now (more than ever before) & decisions not necessarily taken for the best interest of the TEAM. This is not just a one off case, this kept happening at T20 too. I would like to know what Ganguly went upto to Mr. Erratic and said to him. Because whatever pep talk he gave certainly worked. It was nice to see an Indian bowler hit speeds of 147kmph but he ought to learn to control his swing. IMO he is best off bowling as first change and give the opening bowling mantel to either Pathan or Singh because they are the real exponents of swing bowling.

Can India do it? Yes. But only if they follow the same policy. Keep wickets in hand till 30 overs and then begin the onslaught. Or get a ballistic start. Batting might become a bit easier in the mid overs with due factor coming in. But can India survive the initial burst from Bret Lee?

Befitting start for Sachin in this series. Once again, Steve Bucknor somehow finds himself in the midst of another harsh decision of not going off the field inspite of the constant drizzle

. But, Bret Lee & Johnson are bang on target from ball one. With Saurav injured, the onus certainly lies on your WC winning boys. Lets see if they live up to the expectations, like the Aussies did.

D/L could play a major role in this match here. So nothing is over till its over.
