One can hardly tell the difference. Might as well merge the two.

But hey - it keeps some people occupied, so perhaps there is merit in maintaining it separately.

You are not the only one who can call names it seems. Can't remember who christened you that nick .

Or maybe we could start another thread titled "I hate 3D" as well, we could then merge all 3.

Quite noticeable looking at the number of posters on this thread.

But I'm not calling anyone names. I said the BCCI Club Team is a bunch of losers, because they keep losing. It's a factual description. I don't understand what boogle describes.

Younis Khan put up a brilliant fight back but his century went in vain. Surprisingly, Pakistan used 4 spin bowlers while the quicker men hardly got a chance to bowl in the IInd innings. And the bowler who ended up with the best figures in the match happened to SA's Steyn (somewhere Pakistan's strategy must have gone wrong, not using/selecting more quickies). Kallis played wonderfully to record 2 centuries in the test match & was awarded the MOTM.

Interesting send off for Inzy that PCB has planned. Good gesture to a great batsmen. Looks like PCB is changing ways. I liked the big mans remark that PCB did not extend such a gesture to anyone not even Akram, Waqar, Anwar or Miandad.. Want to see the looks on Miandad's face when he reads it

Freaky incident, I mean a cheeky encounter of Ponting with an Indian fan who tries to kiss him .

SA won ? Wow man - on a spinner friendly surface that too !! And I heard we lost - Yuvraj scored a ton in vain.

Bowlers let us down again kya ?

;-- But I don't know of anyone by that name in the Indian Team , and if he's not a member of the T20 winning squad - then why was a fan trying to kiss him

Dada ?? I think he is extremely lucky to keep his place in the side. I know I know - he has been consistent and all that but the way he has been scoring those runs does not inspire confidence in any way. He has become a scratchy player - he can't take singles - he is a liability in the field - bowlers and teams around the world have worked him out but he still can't evolve his batting to adjust against their attack.

Do we really need him in the ODI's now ? I am in no way demeaning what he has done for India in the past. He won us matches and lead us brilliantly but now he looks a spent force - do we need such players now ?

For that matter even Dravid is looking lost in the team and with his batting since he quit captaincy IMO.

I am not saying this as a fanatic fan or an arm chair critic but the selectors need to take some hard decisions. These decisions will feel a little harsh but it will be beneficial in the long term. No one lost anything while investing in fresh talent.

True, I think its just a matter of time before they get axed. Then we will all witness a new Indian team, which like the prestigious WI team will slumber into darker depths. Only that Pakistan might get there a little sooner than we might .

PS: Vengsarkar has already given out a press statement that senior players better up their ante if they are to survive for long.

Also, Niranjan Shah at the recent press conference stated:

Quote:
You know, Sourav Ganguly has been dropped for this match & not rested
Quote:
You want to know why he was dropped? I don't know. Maybe he doesn't fit into the team composition".
Source: TOI.

Then I wonder what he is doing in the 15 member squad or why he is not being replaced by someone else? I don't even understand why he made it back into the team after being axed if he didn't fit into the team composition. Or why he was selected for the series back home.

Latest rumours are that Dravid is going to be "dropped" for Karthik in the next match.

Sunil Gavaskar says Dhoni needs to lead from the front & get himself up the order at No 3 & Yuvraj at 4. I would love to see Robin & Gambhir opening. Dhoni @ 3, Yuvi @ 4, Rohit @ 5, Karthik @ 6 play in the next match.

Inspite of the good batting performances by Sehwag at T20 & Kaif at the India A matches, they haven't been looked at. So I am not quite sure if "performance" is the key to the selection of the current team. If it is, Murali Karthik hasn't played on the sub-continent for a while now.
