Kumble gone for naught, India look slightly shaky now. Let's hope we can set them a target in excess of 400 & then go for the kill.

All they could manage in 1st innings was 212. Do you still expect them to overhaul that?

There is plenty of time left in the test. I wonder why our batting gods didn't stay at the crease and go for any personal milestone.

In the next over:

Lets see what tactic Laxman adopts. Farm the strike, or have a bash.

64.1 Symonds to Laxman, 1 run, slides down leg stump and he casually nudges a single to short fine leg

What the hell is going on VVS? Are you so intent on returning not-out?

Because:
64.5 Symonds to Singh, SIX, good, old-school shot from the tail-ender, just planting the front leg out and driving - or teeing off - over long-on

Well as we know laksman can only score in singles and doubles so its better the tail wags their bats to get us some lucky fours and sixes. Well hope they make another 40 runs or so and then let the ozzies bat and not try to but have to get 2 or 3 scalps before the end of the day

Laxman should not play Sachin here (153*innings). He need to find gaps and get two's rather than exposing the Indian tail. If Laxman helps India pushing by another 37 runs that an psychological advantage for India hading a 400+ mark lead to aussies

Aussies will definitely miss HAYDEN here. No doubt.

India must declare now and try to get 2 or 3 Aussie wicket before close of play.

Well no use of declaring. Get any score coz its just the 3rd day!!
They will have 2 days to get 400 odd runs.

Well INDIA had given aussies a target of 413 runs. Hats off to laxman for his superb contribution ( 75 runs with Dhoni and 51 with RP singh) and for RP too.

A wicket or two would definitely push aussies back and it would be fun to watch when one tastes its own dog food. Iam sure aussies will not go for an attacking play until they plant their foot

CATCHES WIN MATCHES- WE SHOULD NOT SPILL THE EASY CHANCES OFFERED IF NOT CONVERTING THE HALF CHANCES.

I think there is now a healthy competition in our lower-order batting, with Pathan, Harbhajan, Kumble and RP Singh all putting in fine performances with the bat. They all realize that chipping in with the bat will stand them in good stead for future Test spots.

Should be an interesting chase by Australia. India should win if they hold on to their chances and umpires don't make serious mistakes.
