Man, what a joke. The term con refers to console screen. Old computers users like me from the DOS era still use it as a feature.

For example, does anyone here know how to create a file without using a editor. We often used to run into such situation in DOS.

Try this on DOS prompt or C:\>

copy con test.txt
Whatever I am writing in this line will become part of the file called test.txt. That is because I gave the command to copy from con to test.txt. Now I will press Ctrl-Z and the file will be closed.

Once you are writing whatever text, press ctrl-Z and new file test.txt with that text will be created.

Funny ways of windows. Create a folder called notepad on your desktop, and then try to edit a file using notepad (with RMB). It ends up opening notepad folder everytime
