How do you like the NEW Team-BHP?

Fellow BHPians,

Welcome y'all to this new, improved Team-BHP. It had been exactly a year, since the last major forum software upgrade, so I guess it was just about time. There are a host of new features for everybody to feed on, most eye-catching being the "BHP Garage." I'm sure there a lot more, but taking my time to familiarise with the "Refreshingly New Team-BHP" (Sorry, Tata couldn't resist) too.

What we want to know is what the members think of the new Team-BHP? Suggestions, contributions, appreciations, all welcome by the bucketful. Send them in right away.

Till then, enjoy more what we have for so long!

Cheers.

We hope that everything likes it.

Buttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

1. Special Thanks to Arthur for doing all the coding work and staying up with me three nites in a row!

2. Cheers to Rehaan for responding to an in-class SMS and getting on to the MSN immediately...for lots of support!

3. Sincere gratitude to Gordon and V12 for the fantastic and "shuffling" home page.

4. To the entire Moderator team for getting together all the suggestions, comments and support.

You guys have put in a phenomenal effort behind the upgrade. Thanks just so much.

this looks great..!! but one thing though; why omit the older themes...? i kinda liked the red and grey combo (forgot the name, though)...but i guess it's just a matter of time before i get used to the new ones...

p.s- i was absolutely FURIOUS (read:going nuts) when tbhp went offline...but after seeing all the work that has been done, i guess it was worth the few days of unbearable suffering....

Wow! looks different, lots of new stuff. Is there a list of new features, I mean like a release notes? If not we have to discover them slowly along the way.

Wait! I found it... the release notes I mean.

Thank god i its back, now i don't have to think of somthing that would help me use my time which i'd wanna kill.

At first i tought it was kind of cluttered and not very user friendly, but a change in style did wonders for me, i think the standard style is more or less perfect for me.

Congratulations to the mod team and every member of the team-bhp family.

manson.

p.s. can hardly wait to post pictures in the new Garage section.

The old styles were not compatible with the latest version of our community software. They had to be discarded.

A brief summary of new features is sent to all of you in the PM / registered email box.

Looks like I found a bug . My private messages entry was showing unread 0 when I read your message, still I clicked on it and found the PM from you. I still haven't read it, but the entry still says unread 0 although I have an unread private message.

And I lost the three PMs that I got just before the upgrade happened. Maybe the backup happened prior to this.

Samurai - Checking on that right away

Mohit - Yes. The backup that was used was about 3 - 5 hours prior to the site going off line.

Some comments :

- Like the new look of the forum

- Do miss some of the earlier themes, especially the red and grey one

- The gallery section is a welcome addition

- Getting to see newest posts first is helpful

- Enabling RSS feed also is good

Overall a really good job....

~still exploring!
