Indus Creed Reunites!

The post title says it all... loved these guys when in the early '90s MTV used to air on DD Metro... the band has come back together, and will be performing in Mumbai on the 7th of October. A new album is also planned and they might be performing in Delhi too! What are your thoughts? IMO just watching the videos for Pretty Child just gave me goosebumps

Till then, check out the official site:

Welcome to Indus Creed

and one of their best songs, the award winning Pretty Child on yt:

Was never a big fan of the half-cooked so called rock songs they dished out in the past. Though their lyrics were often good, Indus Creed (previously known as Rock Machine) simply lacked the vocal or instrumental mastery even when compared to other bands of their time like FireFly or 13AD or Shiva. That said, Indus Creed was one of the successful bands which could really cash in on the MTV boom in India whereas others remains underground due to lack of promotion and publicity.

Since then, the Indian Rock scene has leapfrogged in originality and musical capabilities and we are yet to witness if the re-united Indus Creed can hold a candle to the reigning bands like Avial, MotherJane or even Parikrama. Will be looking forward to their new album.

Too late man!
nor they had any cult following, they just disappeared after an album.

Our very popular Parikrama is dying to survive.

Nice to know that. Uday Benegal ( I like his voice) is one of the rare Indian guys with a typical western voice.

Hope they come up with some scintillating music in this second run.

Hmm. They used to be called Rock Machine and had mullets. There were some other Indian bands on TV back then that were much better. For instance Millenium from Bangalore and even Agni from Pune used to be pretty ok back then.
