If there are no caps, then I may as well just make a single payment.
Just saw this. Flipkart Axis give 1.5% even if you pay from the insurer website.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

I have got my Axis Bank Magnus credit card 3 weeks back. But I am unable to choose my welcome benefit as I am not getting OTP to login to Thriwe portal.
I contacted dedicated portal and send many mails. Still, there is no response from them. Pathetic service!

Re: The Credit Card Thread

I have always used my HDFC DB CC for NPS Tier-1 payments. This was done mainly for reward points, even if there is a transaction charge. But, for the payment done on last week, I did not see the points credited. I do remember that there was a communication from NPS that we can no longer do payments through credit card for Tier-2. But I do not remember reading anything from HDFC on this. Does anyone know?

Dineout membership is being withdrawn from INFINIA, effective 15Feb23'. Another devaluation for INFINIA.

It is not a devaluation. It is because Swiggy, which has recently acquired Dineout, has discontinued Dineout Passport.

There are no caps or upper limits. This is one of the best things about this card.
Didn't know the Amazon Pay requirement part. I guess then this this requirement apply for all transactions outside of Amazon website (and Amazon Pay app). Let's say I add/use the Amazon CC on any random website for a transaction. So in that case, I only get 1% cashback I suppose.

Yes and that 1% in form of amazon pay balance only. Thats why I use this card only for Amazon transactions i.e. shopping on the site or bill/insurance payments via Amazon Pay. For everything else I use Flipkart Axis card as that gives 1.5% cashback on actual bill. Both cards are free for me, so I use them this way.

It is indeed a devaluation for DCB where they used to give 1 Year Dineout membership which is replaced with 3 month Swiggy one membership. 1 year swiggy membership is available

There are no reward points for HDFC cards on Government services and payments as well on rent payment from 1 Jan. This was communicated by end of November as part of November devaluation.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

Might be a noob question. I have an ICICI Credit Card but not a ICICI Bank account. Can I set up auto-pay for paying the credit card bill through my HDFC Bank account? If yes, how to go about it.

Yes, log into netbanking, go to Billpay & add the card. It has an option to set up auto-pay as well

Re: The Credit Card Thread

Hi All !

Not sure if this is the right page to post this, but I wish to know more about fuel cards as I have never used one before. I have a monthly fuel expense of about INR 6000 to INR 7000. This is for petrol fuel with majority going to my car and a small amount to my scooter. I use my rides in Kerala (Thrissur & Kochi). Following are my questions :

1. For this amount, is it justified getting a fuel card ? (I currently use my HDFC debit card)
2. If I get one, are there certain pumps that I can only use to avail their benefits ?
3. Minimum filling amount for each visit ?
4. Also can someone please explain how a fuel card works.

Once again if this is the wrong page, kindly repost to the apt one. Thanks in advance !

Re: The Credit Card Thread

All,

Planning to start paying my house rent by CC. I own a HDFC regalia and planning to apply for AXIS Magnus in the next two months. What would be the best platform to pay rent ? I have heard we can make them through HDFC, no broker and Cred. Any inputs along with pros and cons based on personal experience would be much appreciated.

No reward points for HDFC cards for rent payment now irrespective of platform. I believe Axis still provides reward points for Magnus on rent payment. Other banks/cards have started imposing 1% charge on rent payments too. So currently Axis premium cards are the only cards that shall be beneficial.

I have used Magic bricks and PayTM but their platform charges are quite high after first month. So please calculate the benefits of paying rent through credit cards in any platform. I read online that Redgiraffe has the lowest charge. You may explore that. HDFC Payzapp will redirect you to Redgiraffe only. Please make sure you have valid rental agreement for Redgiraffe usage.

Have you paid the joining fee ? I have seen that with Axis Vistara, only when i paid the joining fee the benefits were provided. Please check.
