You can buy Amazon giftcards and them back to your account, it works same as Amazon Pay balance. Don't use third party sites like Gyftr to buy vouchers, I had bad experience, Amazon recognizes them as some different category with a lot of restrictions.

Paytm allows 3rd party apps to recharge wallet from CC with no charges for upto 4000 per month.

If you can use Ola as payment option, they still allow Amex.

Sometimes SBI rejects card because of pin code. Not all cards but some are specific to metros. It has nothing to do with your CIBIL or tax returns.
Try contacting your SBI Branch they’ll inform you about cards which are pre-approved for you.

Looks like the benefits keep on reducing all the time...

"Utility bill payments, insurance premium payments, and education payments will not be eligible for cashback."

Thankfully, they have backtracked on the Insurance spends being excluded.

Rental payments have been hit the hardest.
On Magnus and Atlas, the Utilities are also included for Annual Fee waiver and Monthly milestone.

Not sure why Ajay didn't update the article.

I see you have applied for Octane for fuel which is good.

I have this issue of payment failures with Uber, where I have my ICICI Amazon Pay CC linked for payments. I need to initiate the payment manually again for it to be successful.

Are there any fix/workarounds to avoid this issue? Please advise!

I have faced similar issues, in many applications, ICICI-Amazon is not recognized as an ICICI card. Especially where there are schemes for ICICI cards.

The only workaround that works is to use the card to top up Amazon Pay, and then use Amazon Pay for payments.

Otherwise use other cards.

Has anyone managed to get an IDFC First issued credit card recently? I've been trying to apply on their website for months now and I always get the message saying 'your application can't be processed at this point'.
I visited a branch in person as well to see if I could apply from there but was informed they don't accept applications at the branch and their credit card team reaches out to prospective customers directly via mobile.

My Octane card application got rejected in just 2 days after applying!

I am not a huge spender, and rental is where I spend the most - and most cards have stopped offering rewards for rental payments now (just when I discovered something like that exists!)

I spend about 5-6K on fuel, about 5-6K again for groceries. My other purchases are erratic and if I annualize, maybe about 3-4K on online spending (mostly Amazon because I have the ICICI Amazon pay card)

For Fuel, you can settle for less using Standard Chartered Super Value Titanium which rewards fuel spends up-to INR 4k (single transaction must be below INR 2k).
For rest, try SBI Cashback card or even SBI BPCL (not Octane variant and one SBI card for online shopping 10% discount)

Thank you for your suggestion Turbospooler. Amex card application went through smoothly and my card application has been accepted! Waiting for delivery of the card in 3-7 business days now

Guys, I need to cancel a few of my credit cards because I realized I have too many now. Which ones should go?

1. Kotak Royale: Absolutely useless in terms of points and rewards. Want to cancel it asap.

2. HDFC intermiles Card: Another useless card in terms of points and rewards but keeping an HDFC CC helps when there is a sale (on Apple products) on Amazon.

3. Amex Reward Card: Want to cancel but not sure if it will be good to keep an Amex for foreign travel

4. Flipkart Axis: This is for sure going.

5. Axis - Magnus: My favourite card. Its a keeper.

6. ICICI - Amazon Pay Card. No feelings about it but want to retain due to large number of Amazon purchases.
