thats it, i am not going to buy a OverDrive magazine again, this is pure act of shamelessness, robbery and many other words i want to say here but are just too disgusting so let me stop here!

although i read only a initial few pages, now i know for sure all these magazines just want to make only money at any cost!

on the other hand, i think it is time, team-bhp came up with a magazine or some I.P.R. for the contributors of the articles they have worked hard at.

Will not renew my subscription of Overdrive.

This act is outrageous and appalling.

Overdrive, grow up.

This is a shocker. I'm doing my part by posting on my FB wall, their FB page, tweeting about it and marking their editor @sirishchandran for an answer.

One more case of plagiarization?

Srinagar-Leh highway to open next week

Starnews used Tanveers picture in this news article. :Shockked:

Starnews used Tanveers picture in this news article. :Shockked:

This is crazy. Star News did not even credit Tanveer. A small line below regarding the pic and source would have credit Tanveer. Either StarNews took it off his facebook profile or flickr account or here, from Team-BHP. Twitterati, let the word spread with a trendline #Tanveer #starnews #tsk1979

This is insane. Tanveer seems to be in wrong profession. Become a professional photographer dude . Remember what Joker said in Batman movie? "If you are good at something never do it for free".

Now time to make Star News pay?
Or is it a hidden ploy by OD?

Wow!!
Again?
I work in the outsourcing industry, but in my wildest dreams, where i am asleep, and having a dream, even then this would not have struck me as a business model:
outsourced journalism!!
(do we have a "idea!" smiley/icon thing?)

I spoke to Asif.. This is what he says: "I dont control the website, or the mail should be directed to webmasters not me!"

So, it is some guy sitting in a cube whose job is to connect pictures to stories.

Few had commented and even i did write one but it was promptly removed, though the picture remains!

btw Tanveer stop taking "good" pictures:)

They are very prompt in removing the comments, but they can't remove the stolen picture?

Tanveer: Its time you put all pictures together and come out with our coffee table book. :)

Looks like the picture has been replaced.

UPDATE : Star News has now atleast removed Tanveer's pic from their article and also removed mine and one other comment. :)

at least thats one decent way of acknowledging a mistake.
lets see what the original protagonists do......

I am rather disappointed with the way media houses handle copyright violations by themselves.

While small and minor infractions by public will be dealt with heavily, they brazen out gross and deliberate violations by themselves. Couple of years back, Yahoo India, (nobody less) plagiarised something as trivial as cookery recipes; and instead of giving due credit where it was due and apologising, the infringing articles simply vanished.

Something similar is happening here.
