Re: Your favourite type of Road?

I love driving in mountains. My favourite type of road is mountains/Ghat road. Ghat roads make the travelling a thrilling experience. I make sure to plan a trip to HP once a year. If that doesn't happen, I visit Mt. Abu or Saputara to get the yearly dose of ghat roads.

Re: Your favourite type of Road?

Voted for 2 lane highways. Reasons:

1. Less wrong side traffic compared to highways with dividers.
2. Easy to take pit stops and lots of good options for chai/coffee available.
3. Most of these roads are tar roads and its fun to ride/drive compared to the cemented highways/expressways.

Re: Your favourite type of Road?

I think I am the first one to select bumper to bumber traffic road

Although, I love to munch miles on a 4 lane or 6 lane express ways, I cannot express the feeling that I get when I travel on my bike on drain covered concrete blocks. Hosur Road travelers to Electronic city knows this. On both the sides of the road, drainage is covered with concrete slabs on which most bikers do OFFROADING. Crossing 1000s of vehicles in stand still condition gives nothing less than cruising joy

Adding to the above, I think, this is one place, where all bikers follow lane discipline. No Overtaking, no honking, no cris-crossing and no over-speeding.

Re: Your favourite type of Road?

If I could add another choice, it would be two laned, well paved, jungle roads plying under thick green canopy of trees.

Amongst the given options, I have voted for the four lane roads. Reason being simple, the convenience of overtaking or being overtaken without entering the wrong side and risking life of self or others.
