Surprisingly, I was the only one to not have encountered a single traffic jam on Sunday and Monday. I was roaming around the city but avoided:

Karve Road, Deccan chowk. All other roads I went on were traffic free. Perhaps all the rush was in the evening.

Driving down the bypass just after the GM showroom saw a tent along side the road and there was a police stop sign. Is some kind of patrolling going on by police on the highway in the wake of any threat ?
Not sure how that policeman standing along side the highway serves the purpose ?

Out of the list AFAIk, only two tolls are authorized (Govt authorized).

1. Mahabaleshwar (The one opp Venna Lake) - This is a govt authorized toll that collects "Environment tax".

2. Pen Rd (E-Way to Pen) - All roads joining/exiting from the E-Way have tolls. This is to make sure that people have actually paid the toll to use the E-Way.

Live bomb found at Koregaon Park North main Road Petrol Pump. North and South Main Roads blocked. Pune and Mumbai placed on high alert !

This piece of news had just come in.. not sure how true/authentic it is because there is nothing on the internet yet.. please verify if you can.

Go the same mail from 2-3 different sources around 11.30, was about to quote the same on this forum. But, some search on the net as well as ‘live’ news channels yielded nothing. Hope, it’s just a rumour...

A colleague informed me there were some cops/ police vans and barricades before the flyover near South Main road. Not sure what happened exactly but will try to find out.

Here is some update :

It seems there was stranded Santro at the petrol pump.. which raised suspicion.. people panicked and some roads had to be cordoned off..

The car was towed off but no confirmation since..

@moralfibre- thanks. Finally- the Aundh-Ravet road will be widened. The road is an absolute nightmare these days. I wonder why so many people working in HJW prefer living in Aundh, given the state of that mess.

Anyway, wideing the road is going to make little difference unless that crazy Y-junction is bypassed somehow. Fast moving traffic at that point is potentially lethal!

Is'nt there some sort of flyover being constructed in Aundh? I remember some sort of work being carried on. There's even a diversion of sorts after Rakshak chowk (coming towards Aundh). Will that work also take decades?

Hope people stop spreading rumors. Its just another deterrent for the authorities to work (whatever little that they do!).

That is the corridor being built for fast moving traffic from Aundh to Hinjewadi. Hopefully they will complete it before 2040.

The craters that were created opp Mahindra First Choice, Bavdhan are in the process of being filled. Be cautious while driving. So is the case on the southbound road. Saw a rear ending due to sudden breaking there, this morning.

Guess what, the junction of Koregaon Park extn and Mundhwa road has been repaired for the fourth time this year and it is already breaking apart!

Now for some good news, really!
Saw police catching red light breakers at Shastri Nagar chawk. I hope they continue with this type of operation.
