Not very long ago, you would easily be able to spot a Ford Ikon on the road. With the 15 year rule kicking in, you now usually see these cars lying neglected by the side of the road. Here’s one such example I spotted, gathering dust and alloys stolen; poor car.

Does this poor Premier Padmini count here? This one seems to be a Deluxe BE model, though I am no expert. It looks much complete, although missing some some trims and side pattis. However I have been observing this car for the last 6 months or so, it’s slowly sinking into the ground. I don’t know how to classify Premier Padminis - they are neither vintage nor “newer” rotting cars.

Saw this W124, W211 and W204 in the basement parking of Palika Bhawan, New Delhi.

Been seeing these 6-7 Rapids gathering dust since September 2021. Parked in the parking lot next to a restaurant I like. These cars are probably brand new. No dealership in the vicinity as far as I know.

This is in a building called Trillium Avenue in sector 29.

I often see this type-1 Maruti Esteem in Delhi. Seems to have been off the road for quite a while, going by the tinted windows.

Extremely surprised to see this abandoned Nissan Magnite which is so new that it could well be in its standard / extended warranty period! Damaged, and being used as a decorative piece at Aura Beach Cafe - Anjuna, Goa.

Ran the plates on the Vahan app. That car is only 10 months old! Interesting to see a Delhi registered car in such a state nearly 2000 KM away. Could this perhaps be a flood affected car? Or maybe some heavy mechanical damage that insurance/warranty refused to cover?

Someone might have come for a drinking spree all the way from Delhi and ran some high enough bill and the Magnite covered the tab or it might be possible that the car gave enough troubles to be dumped in that state

Jokes apart, really sad to see such a new car in that state. Some of the panels look damaged, might even be an accident case ! The colour also reminds the White Beauty of fellow BHPian Swiftvxi06 and that he has maintained the car so well by not driving the car much that this post looks pretty sad !!

If it's a Dehli car then it might be one that was driven through the water and screwed up the engine. Insurance might have been denied for wilful carelessness which is why it might be abandoned. Damage could be due to the process of rescuing the car out of the water
