Guys sorry for gettin the timings between cities wrong. We did this route around a year ago after finishing Airtel One India Rally.

It was on of those moments which one can cherish for a very long time. Left Bangalore @ 1700hrs on May 7th 2005 & returned back @ 1am on 17th May 2005.
Bangalore - Chennai - Vjayawada - Hyderabad - Bhopal - Jaipur - Delhi - Ahmedabad - Bharuch - Mumbai- Belgaum - Bangalore in less than 10days.

Madras to Delhi was part of the rally.h

On a lighter note, 10 years back I covered 300 kms in 64 hours. One night was spent in a guest house, another night inside the car(premire padmini). Due to flash floods road connection were cut-off at many places. The car was twice pushed through water. The longest it was pushed could be around 400 meters with 2 feet flood water on road.

There's no way that is possible. Even Sebastian Loeb in his WRC Xsara would not be able to do it.

thats 81.23 kms/hrs as avg speed
I have been driving cars and riding bikes on the highways for years now and from my experience, to attain 81.23kms/hrs as an avg speed, u need to hold a car at around 110-115 km/h all the time and as fas as I know Mumbai-Mangalore (via Goa) has its own share of twisties and ghats. So to compensate for twisties and ghats u must hv been keeping the Uno at around 130-135km/h most of the times...well well......

580kms/4.5 hrs = 128.8km/h avg speed which means holding a constant 140-145 km/h (on mumbai-goa highway which has its share of twisties,ghats,traffic..) well well welll

the problem is everyone wants to show the max done overlooking the fact that many who have actually been on those stretch know for certain what the limits are and how fast could fast get to cover the distance taking into consideration road, twisties etc etc.

so id say bunny read those timings with a pinch of salt

chek with adil the fastest time pune to kolhapur done in 2 hrs. i dont remember the name but he is a Sardar and this was done in Car & Bike mag days on if i recollect a Honda

Well, the whole event was monitored by major newspapers in Bangalore. He had done that stretch many times on 2S bike. He was trying on 4S...He was received & felicitated by Dr. Rajkumar in Bangalore. This was the front page news the next day !

Hi,

The guy who did Mumbai Bangalore on a Suzki Fiero was Prakruth Banawasi. I think this was two years ago. Though I have done Bangalore Mumbai also in 12 hours it was an Accent CRDI where the comfort levels are much better.

Bangalore - Mumbai - 12 hours in my CRDI
Ahmedabad - Bangalore 26 hours - Cielo ( in 1998)
Delhi - Bangalore 36 hours ( after the Airtel rally)

Have done Chennai - Coimbatore (520 kms) many times. While it took about 10 hours in my ALTO VX1.1, it was about 9 hours in my SWIFT. including breaks for breakfast / lunch / coffee.
