Crashed Swift!

Was on my way to college when I seen this crashed Swift at the side of the road. Seems it hit a lorry. The lorry was supposedly taking a U-Turn or a normal turn. The guy crashed into it. The car is heavily damaged. Don't have any information about the occupants. Police officers were there assessing the accident. Pics taken by my sis-in-law using a cell camera. Looks to me its a write-off.

Bad accident.

BUT, it looks like the passenger cabin is OK. I really do feel(and hope) the occupants are safe.

Its a write off or a rip off!!! Seems like the low blow has been taken well by the car, the pillars are standing tall unaffected...

Hate to see the only car I like from the maruti stable this way!!!

I think the guy was lucky to hit the lorry the way I think he hit it - on the side of the lorry. The bonnet must have come under the truck. If you notice the impact seems to have been directed from the top. The front suspension seems to be fine. Wonder what would have happened in a head on. :( The occupants should be safe - if they were wearing seatbelts. And I do not think that the car is a write off. Yet.

Seems to me the occupants (at least in the front seats) would not have undergone severe injuries. The front windshield doesnt not show any signs of being hit from the inside, possibly by a human skull. There is no outward projection of the windshield. I reckon the individual(s) were wearing seatbelts and may have actually walked away with minor bruises.

Then again, I could be totally wrong, which would suck.

My friend just had an accident in his swift a week ago.
The car toppled 3 times.
Naturally its a write off.
He and the passenger both said that if it wasnt for the seatbelts, they would have gone straight through the windshield.
But thanks to the sealbelts they were able to walk away.

SEATBELTS SAVE LIVES
