One more unfortunate incident - Two children die of suffocation in locked car at Gurgaon

Two siblings, aged two and four years, who were accidentally locked inside a car, suffocated to death in Kadarpur village in Gurgaon on Wednesday.

According to the police, Himashi and his younger sister Ritika got inside their sedan parked near the house and accidentally locked it from inside. The two fell unconscious due to suffocation a few hours later.

“The family noticed them around 4:30 p.m. and took them to a hospital where they were declared brought dead,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rajesh Chechi.

Mr. Chechi said it was not known as to when the two got inside the car. The bodies have been kept at mortuary and post-mortem will be done on Thursday.
