Fair enough I guess

Like one Toyota Fortuner tyres costs Rs 25K.
Wow!
Could you please let us know the make and model of the tyre ?

I think it is Pirelli Scorpion Verde which costs around 25K in India.

Looks like you had to pay for the tyre entirely and not 25 %.

If Landrover is charging 1 Lac for a tyre that costs 25K, then they are certainly taking customers for a ride.

You are right buddy, the tyre is Pirelli Scorpion Verde (Check the picture is the tyre torn - 'Verde' can be seen.

What I feel is the left tyre where it has torn would have hit and touched the foot peg/gear lever/rear stand causing it to blow and tear off.

Re: What happens when a biker hits a Range Rover Evoque

The damage on the bumper is mostly paint transfer from what I can tell and a good cleaning with Iso Propyl Alcohol or a finishing polish will get rid of most of it!

Cant see deeper scratches in the pic!

I've seen lots of broken tail lights and scratched bumpers caused by bikers an they always get away scot-free while the vehicle owners are left to foot the bill. However, with all those accidents, the safety afforded by a car when compared to a bike is what makes it worth footing the expenses.

Whenever bikers ran into me in the past, they didn't have to pay for the damage as they don't have vehicle insurance of any kind. On the contrary, they insist that they get paid for their damages and they create a scene which takes a few hours of time - not that it is fruitful in any way for them.

Hello everyone, really sorry, should have been more precise in my last post,

What I meant was that the tyre is for 25,000 and we are supposed to pay only 25% of 25,000!

My bad.

Regards,
Yash

Please report this to the appropriate police station, at least for procedure's sake. Though unlikely now, you wouldn't want some random biker filing a report stating you caused the accident.
