NOT Slamming on the Brakes is ONE criteria for Safe driving, there are plenty of unspoken parameters which are know as etiquette of safe driving. I do not think wiki has anything documented on this, but I am happy to say I have learned a few things over my past 25 years of driving.

Do note that road accidents happen b'cos there are two or more people who take wrong decisions or have made a mistake. Accidents just do not happen if there is only one mistake.
