Re: Fortuner: Insane parking!

Like they do in the TV series 'just for pranks', what if the walls are not really walls and are made to look like walls? Or is the photo taken to give an impression that the walls are closer than they actually are? Another possibility is that wall in the front is actually a door/gate designed like a wall? Too many possibilities, will someone please crack this code?

Re: Fortuner: Insane parking!

The space constraints here won't be able to fit the vehicle diagonal.

Probably, park as in and strainght as normally possible and then slide the rest of the way, either by the jumping-shocker theory or perhaps if the driver was very angry, he just t-boned it with another vehicle while maintaing the CoG.

The spare wheel tilts and moves the vehicle, almost parallelly so that the driver may unpark the vehicle without multipoint maneuvers.

Wow, thanks for sharing. I wonder what could be the reason that this technology did not make it to actual production cars.

I guess cost could be a reason and maybe they never really felt the need as there were fewer cars in those days such that there must have been plenty of parking spaces.

Re: Fortuner: Insane parking!

The floor on which Fortuner is parked could be a jack in itself! Like there is a basment below the ground floor, on which this jack is located. You drive into basement and lift the jack to the ground floor.
Reminds me of Swat cats cartoon who used to fly their fighter from basement!

The way I see it, this thread has some great ideas to theft proof a car!
