HAHA GTO ..
What view do you have on this? Is it possible under normal driving conditions to park in such a way?

If yes, then this is definitely the next thing I've got to do to satisfy my driving ego. Cuz, if its possible and I am not able to do it then my life is a lie..

Never trust anything you find on the internet. Especially those pics which have people saying something or some motivational lines.

"Never underestimate the power of a common man."

How about Photoshop?

Re: Fortuner: Insane parking!

With a drift slide, he would still need forward and rearward room. Pulling off a drift slide using handbrake at speeds of 60-80 kmph within such a tight space , would not require skill. It would require a tremendous faith in the theory of probabilities. Note that this is a driver, presumably mad at the employer, but wanted to leave with the minimum ruckus.
Getting the car knocked up against the walls, would have caused sufficient commotion to have woken up the owner and and his neighbours.

I am of the view, that he used 4 (or more) portable hydraulic jacks and an equal number of people guiding these to move the car when no one was around.
Then they simply tugged the jacks away from underneath the car, and the guys on the wrong side promptly climbed over the bonnet to get away.

This method works as well as self-loading dollies - the indian jugaad at its best.

Re: Fortuner: Insane parking!

Either it is more of good Photoshop skills than driving (well...parking) or the car's front end has been slid, either by pushing it or by pulling it by some other vehicle from sideways. TO support this, I can also see a parking entry on the other side of the Fortuner.

I think a roller jack must have been used.

Re: Fortuner: Insane parking!

I think the guy simply used a forklift, put the forks below the car and put the car in the tight space. No other way I think this fortuner can go there with such precision.

Re: Fortuner: Insane parking!

All you need are a pair of wheeled hydarulic jacks, which can be borrowed from any garage.

Re: Fortuner: Insane parking!

I don't buy the story that a driver did this because he wasn't paid salary. Never believe captions shared on Facebook & other sites. This was very likely done by somebody who wanted to show off his skills.

Basically, to do this, it requires one or two spotters, 1 driver, multiple 3 point turns and atleast 30 to 45 minutes. And it will take about 15 minutes to get out of this parking position - getting out is easier.

Re: Fortuner: Insane parking!

Yes it takes time.

There is one youtube video shows a guy park his car between walls like this and taking it out. I am not able to locate the same now!

Here is another video

Something wrong with the rear wall in the photo. Looks angled.

Re: Fortuner: Insane parking!

I had watched an episode of Car Vs. Wild last year (BREAKING THE ALTITUDE RECORD) where they used a winching technique (I believe it was the scissor technique) where they pulled a Jeep that had been wedged between 3 (or 4?? don't recall) trees out sideways. It was pretty complex and they had to run the winch line around multiple trees.

I believe the particular maneuver is somewhere in this video but I'm unable to open this now.

My point is that theoretically the same technique can be used to pull off this stunt.

^ I agree to that

And to achieve that i guess driver had to back the car in reverse by driving close to the wall on the left & hence pretty much achievable IMO.
