Crashed Volvo V50

check out the pics of a Volvo V50 that crashed and flipped over and came to a rest from speeds of about 75-80MPH in USA. No airbags were depolyed and the driver walked out with some aches and tightness in the muscles of the neck.

Volvo's are known for their safety. But surprised that the air-bags didnt deploy.

Doesn't look much damaged considering the fact that it flipped at more than 120kmph. Surprisingly the rear is more damaged than the front.

Maybe its just a lucky driver. Nor everyone survives at an 80mph crash

Yup I too agree, air bags should have been deployed. Thats a kind of failure !!.

Dont always point to ludhiana guys, there are many around the other places too. Come to bangalore you will surely find some. Shall we start a contest of this?

Not really. Airbags get deployed depending on impact.
When I said 'surprised' in my earlier post above, it was more about the way the accident could have happened.

Personal experience: went off the road, off the small & soft shoulder & into the mud, flipped, came to rest on the roof. Thanks to seat-belts, I walked out. The air-bags didnt deploy. Btw, the car was totalled.
