Victim of hit & run, I ended up with a crushed leg. Culprit = Red Skoda Hi friends,
On the night of 3rd JANUARY at around 10 PM, I met with an accident near IIFT college in Qutub Institutional area, New Delhi.
I was heading home towards Dwarka, New Delhi after meeting friends. As I crossed the IIFT college around speed of 50-60 on my Bike, I saw a RED SKODA parked near the Shamshan Ghat. To my surprise the driver had the wing mirrors closed and he moved the car right to the road, I was around 10 m away. After trying to save myself by braking I still did not see the car stopping, and there I was rolling on the road when i hit hard in to the front fender of the car with my head. Thank god I was wearing my leather jacket, my gloves and my arai.
The whole accident happened the guy did not even try to come out of the car, he stood there watching me. I did not blank out, I urged the guy to help me but he drove off. Some kind people gathered and helped me. They helped me to call my friends who were at Sethi's Dhaba.
I did take down the registration number, the car was certainly a Skoda Red in colour and if I remember a Rapid with a few blacked out body panels . I have not filed a case yet. But I still have held my options to do so if need be.
I have been lying in the hospital since that day with a badly crushed leg. My appeal to the community is please help in case you have been involved. cause it could be you on the other end some day.
Please see if someone who knows a guy with Skoda RED in colour with 0025 as last number to contact me. my phone number is 09654990013.
I have not disclosed the complete number for a reason.
I have been told that this person is a regular to the area. so either he would need to stop coming around or he can clear his conscious by talking to me. Quote:
The problem with the case is that I met the police after the MLR, they were very straight forward and told me that the bike will be seized till the time case is not resolved and it does not matter if they are able to get hold of the car or not. They had already contacted the authorities for finding about the car with the number I provided.
The problem is that we have tried to find the car with the number but there is not registration number to be found. I think that the car was on a temp registration.
I am certain that the number is one of these :-
DL4CNT0025 ; DL4NCT0025 ; DL4CTN0025.
Now how I am think that it is a TEMP number? In Delhi you have to have the HSRP on the new cars and the font and all of the number really did not look like a proper number plate it could be a temp number.
To be true with you my RX is apple of my eye. I have recently spent a lot of money redoing it and bringing it to the factory like condition. I did not want to give it police's hands to ruin it. To add more to complications to this it is named to my brother who lived in Punjab. Police specifically told that the owner will have to be involved in the hearing when required and this may become a big hassle, because the main concern is that they will have to keep us involved even if the car is not traced.
To be true I would not mind a compensation, though I am not too keen on it as most of the medical bills and all are going to be taken care of by the medicare. But I just want to see what this person was like who did not have the courage to stop and take it or he was just one of those who doesn't care a damn.
What do you think I should do? I didn't want to get involved with the Police till I have proper information, because moving about with the Broken Leg will be a lots of problem specially when it will be leading to nothing. Hope you understand my problem.

Many questions about the whole situation will be answered by the above in BOLD. this is an snippet from my PM conversation with GTO. I was discharged from the hospital on 30th of January, after almost a months time. I have come to Bathinda my home town for further care for now.
PS. to the mods, the post was composed in MS word to check the spellings and also grammar mistakes have been taken care off to an extent. As we know I am notorious for poor English
