Here is my Data:

Between 1985 to 1995 - (Dad's Scooter Bajaj Cub / Vespa) - 5000 Km
Between 1995 to 2009 - Suzuki Samurai - 80,000 Km
Between 2009 to Till date - Suzuki GS150 R - 32,000 Km

Between 2006 to 2014 - Suzuki Swift - 12,000 Km*
Between 2014 to Till date - Skoda Rapid - 4,000 Km*

* - My (Approximately) share of driving in our family car

Everyone has been talking about how much KMs they have driven, including Dad's vehicle, self driven etc.

For me its just been 35,000 odd KMs in four wheelers.

But for my humble Dad, he has clocked more than 4,00,000 KMs in his two wheelers, which included:

Bajaj Priya
Another Bajaj Priya
Still riding the Honda Eterno.

Hats off to Dad. He has never driven a 4 wheeler, but still has clocked 4,00,000 in his 2 wheeler, and is still clocking KMs daily.

Interesting thread, here are my numbers.

2002 to 2009 - Indica V2 GLS: 350,000KM.
2009 to 2018 - FORD IKON TDCI: 175,000KM.
2014 to 2017 - Toyota Innova ZX - ODO: 45,000KM.
2017 - Toyota Fortuner: 14,500KM and going strong.
2018 - Ford EcoSport: 1400KM just started.

Total: 5,85,900KM.

1999-2000 - Hero Puch (2-speed): 2000 Km
2006 - 2008 - Bajaj Boxer: 5000 Km
2008 - 2018 - Honda Unicorn: 35,000 Km
2011 - 2013 - Swift Vxi: 20,000 Km
2013 - 2017 - Nissan Rogue AWD (USA): 32,000 Km
2013 - 2017 - various rental cars, vans, minivans and trucks (USA): 5,500 Km
2018 - till date - RE Electra 350cc: 2000 Km
2018 - till date - Mahindra TUV 300 T8: 450 Km

Total = 102,950 Km

Humble figure, when compared to the bigger numbers put on by the others.

Been riding/driving for 32 years. Driven about 175,000kms on US roads. About 250,000kms on Indian roads.

Why so little on Indian roads? That's easy. In the last 14 years, my commute has been very minimal.

2004-2006 = 2km commute
2006-2007 = Walked to work
2007-2018 = 1km commute/2km to pickup&drop kids.

Most of my miles in the last 8 years have been from driving long distance frequently between Manipal-Bangalore. More than half my entire Indian driving happens to be on the Grand Vitara.

Dad’s Vehicle wise count: (I’m only 14, no license yet).

1) Ford Ikon 1.3 2000 November to 2009 May : 30000 KMS.

Yes, this car covered only 30000 kms in 9 years.

2) Ford Fiesta 1.6 2009 June - 2013 April: 25000 KMS

3) Honda CRV (Dubai) 2013 October - 2017 March: 49200 KMS

4) Yamaha RX 100 - 1992 till date : 60000 KMS.

Low kilometres because there were two other bikes in the house : Another RX 100 and a Rajdoot.

5) Honda City 2017 August : 7000 KMS.

6) Mahindra XUV December 2016 - 9000 KMS

Our commute on Indian roads is extremely low, hence the low numbers on the cars owned in India.

Total: 1,80,200

Interesting thread.

My first motorcycle was Hero Honda CD100 and during that time I never bothered to keep(or check) record of KMs. After that, I started maintaining vehicle's service record and other details.

My driving experience is currently about 75k.

- About 40k in India, most of those in my first car, Punto (36k)
- About 35k in Finland, mostly in my own car, with a few hundred kms in other cars.

With my current driving pattern, 100k is probably 2-3 years away.
