This is same. The tag status will change from Valid to Blacklisted once the threshold (balance) goes low/negative after passing the last booth.

You are right. Blacklisting is just a scary word they use for low balance. But paying by cash in the FT lane would be really embarrassing.

Theoretically, once balance in the main wallet is exhausted, it should use the reserved amount 150 rs. but as I said it works weirdly and unpredictably. So its always a safe bet have sufficient amount in the main wallet.

Check in Fastag portal. Or call customer care of the fastah Dept of bank which gave you tag.

Customer care would be a better idea. ICICI portal still shows Tag Status as 'Active' while the booth scanner says 'blacklisted'.

This happened to a friend of mine who's balance was -11 INR and he couldn't recharge before that. Soon after recharging the wallet the tag became valid and he got a text too confirming the same.

(ICICI is just an example I am quoting, others may vary)

Just returned back from Airport after dropping someone. So there was no mention of Fastag lane during onward, and I entered randomly and the booth attendant said it's 'Lane No 18'.

Since there was no sign anywhere, I insisted to pass through Fastag option (knowing most lanes here are Hybrid) and he entered on his PC and then let me go. I receive SMS after 20 Mins that 85 was decucted.

Return I took the barricaded Fastag lane, after another 20 mins I receive a message and surprisingly it deducts 85 again

.

So much inconsistency for a booth like KIAL where the implementation is this pathetic and daily users are quite regular who use return journey option.

@Parag, you should raise a ticket with Paytm or the bank on this. Same thing happened to me in March. I got a refund of 45INR last week. Now my fastag reserve shows 195.

Yes indeed Chikku. That is what I have done for a failed balance update that I did last week. By the way, mine is ICICI.

Totally erratic! My experience was perfect except the barricaded FT lane was well, barricaded! Used the adjacent one.

Travelled to Chikamagalur and back from Bangalore last week. Excellent experience in the FASTag lanes at all the tolls. There was strict enforcement of no non FASTag vehicle in the FASTag lane. FASTag saved at least 30 to 45 min cumulatively each way on this trip.

The ETC lane from Hebbal -KIAL to Hyderabad toll actually asked me for cash and 3 vehicles ahead of me paid cash. In India all good initiatives go down the drain with such poor implementation.

That's surprising. I took a drop from my driver on 5th morning and could easily see the fastag lane for the onward journey to the airport.

Called up my driver after reaching airport and checked if had issue on the return journey. He said it worked without any issue.
