Unfortunately no. That’s one app I am missing in the iPhone which worked well in my Android phone.

I’m using this link to recharge - https://fastaglogin.icicibank.com/CU...N/Default.aspx

Have bookmarked it under favourites in the Safari browser for easy access.

Re: FASTag: All you need to know about procuring & using it!

Hi,

Can anyone suggest a toll booth / place in Chennai where we can get a ICICI Fastag across the counter??

Got my Fastag delivered! Ordering from PayTM was quick and easy. It got delivered within 4 days, so it was swift!

This much better than any bank-linked Fastag and recharging would by easy per my understanding.

Re: FASTag: All you need to know about procuring & using it!

The tolls plazas at Mulund (both Mulund east [Highway] and Mulund West [LBS road]) have begun accepting Fastag as a mode of payment.
The former has dedicated lanes towards the extreme right and one on the left while the latter has hand-held devices for both sides of the journey.
Attaching an image of my Fastag toll deduction from earlier today:

Don't have first hand experience on getting tag from there. But have seen 'Apply for Fastag' banners around Sriperumbedur toll earlier, if you are staying around there, you can check.

Not sure if Fastag being used to pay for parking has been discussed here. Just received an sms from ICICI Fastag:

Now use ICICI Bank Fastag for parking payments at BrookefieldMall in Bangalore ...

Yes, got the same SMS, always wondered the authentication/ security aspect of payment once it's opened up for non toll useage.

What happens if someone comes with a tag reader and randomly starts scanning tags on vehicles parked elsewhere.

Drove to Navsari, Gujarat and Back to Pune, Maharashtra. Used FASTag for the first time and it was flawless. There were 4-5 tolls one way and all were FASTag enabled. It definitely saved me a lot of time along with convenience of not carrying extra cash. Definitely would love to have it implemented across the country.

Re: FASTag: All you need to know about procuring & using it!

How can I recover my wallet ID without a mobile number?

My dealer has lost the wallet id and registered it to an unknown number. All I have now is the barcode fastag sticker on the car, how do i go about recharging it without the wallet id?

You can use Paytm app to reacharge your fastag account.

Paytm app>FASTag Recharge>Select your bank issuer>Enter Vehicle Registration Number

Other option is through Payzapp app (HDFC bank). Have been using this for sometime and works quite well.

Both the above methods require only the Vehicle Registration number.

The vehicle number is also not linked to the car as I registered it myself taking the car on temp registration so when i punch in my car number it doesnt show up

In that case the easiest option would be to probably just scrap the tag you have now and buy a new one, and link that to your car reg no and phone no.

Re: FASTag: All you need to know about procuring & using it!

Ordered Paytm FASTag yesterday afternoon and received it today morning

FASTag: All you need to know about procuring & using it!-fastag.jpg

Now the confusion is whether to fix it on windshield directly or fix it on a transparent plastic sheet and make it portable within the car

I found out that I can enable this through a standing instruction from my ICICI net banking account and initiated the same. Now the auto-recharge from my net banking happen as expected (when the tag balance is below the threshold amount), but the money gets loaded to my CUG wallet and not my tag (I have only 1 tag linked to my account).

The end result is that I have to initiate recharge to my fastag account from my CUG wallet even after enabling auto-recharge. Any idea how I can get the money loaded directly to my fastag account and not my CUG wallet?
Found a solution for this.
  1. Login to ICICI Fastag desktop site
  2. Go to :
Payments -> CUG Master Accounts -> select “Auto Recharge” -> Select Tag Accounts ->
Fill Minimum Recharge Balance AMT and Maximum Recharge Balance AMT -> Date for start Auto Recharge ->
    “Activate” option
  3. Go to:
    Payments -> Standing Instruction
  4. Create the adhoc standing instruction as before.

Example: Refer above screen shot (from source pdf linked below)- If Tag Account balance goes below minimum balance of Rs.500; AMT of
Rs.1000 will be automatically pulled from CUG wallet transfer to Tag Accounts.

My understanding is that the standing instruction will load money to CUG wallet (if CUG wallet balance (and not fastag balance) goes below theshold) and the CUG Master Account update that we did in Step 2 would move the money to our fastag account.

I have done the set up, but have not yet tested it since my current tag balance is above the threshold I have set in the portal for auto recharge. I will update here incase it does not work as expected.
