MapMyIndia, if I get it right relies on a free Map reading & Navigation software Cygic. So don't know if Cygic uses MapCode or is capable of using it. Map My India, uses a flat file (favs.txt) to save all the user's favourite location. I think they use a Map Code like coding system there as well. But all said and done, it is much better to have a uniform standard.
