Re: Pothole problems - Bengaluru artists use creative methods to embarrass civic authorities

Makes me so pissed off that Karnataka also charges the highest road taxes and yet the roads are just so terrible. Even potholes that get filled up, get worse in less than a week. It is definitely poor quality of road construction in the first place. Giant ridges of vertical undulations on flyovers, poorly smoothed roads that literally break your suspension when climbing onto them from an older stretch of tarmac, uneven expansion joints on flyovers etc. and what does the city development minister do? Blame the media for being anti-bangalore. What can we expect next? To be told we all ought to drive super slow when we anyway average one-sixth of the city speed limit? I know for a fact that these potholes will get filled and then wear off within 6 months. Someone definitely has to answer for this shameless level of corruption. Why don't they add the road contractor's name and contact details on a sign on every road? Why can't we sue the authorities? Why must we pay road tax for such nonsense?

Irony of sorts : They're re-asphalting roads that do not have a single pothole in basavanagudi today morning. Looks like grants have come from MPLAD scheme and they want to spend it
