Singapore-based shared mobility company UrDa has launched its e-scooter sharing business in India.



UrDa has been operational in Taiwan since 2017 and has set up over 37 UrDa stations in the country. The company is looking to expand its business in the Asian region and India will be its first market. It aims to put over 1 lakh e-scooters on Indian roads in the next few years.

UrDa is backed by the Taiwanese electric scooter maker Ahamani Group, which sells its products in more than 26 countries including Japan, Hong Kong and some European countries.

Ahamani e-scooters have a maximum speed of 85 km/h and a range of 80-120 km on a single charge. With fast charging, the battery can charge to 100% in just 20 minutes. The scooters have a loading capacity of 250 kg.
