A young man in Haryana got a BMW car as gift from his parents. He was angry, as he wanted a Jaguar instead. So, he pushed the BMW into the river, made a video of it and circulated it on the social media.

A classic example of spoil the kid mentality.

He did the right thing! Proud of him! He doesn't deserve that BMW. Nor his much desired Jaguar! People like him really need to be sent for social service to understand that even a day's meal isn't a joke.

Feel bad for the BMW and his dad though!

This is really weird. I couldn't find any other apt thread for this. Apparently a person has "pushed" his BMW in river because his parents are not heeding to his demand of getting a Jaguar as his BMW is small!

Well if I was his father I will make sure he uses Autos, taxis and buses for a couple of years. That will make him appreciate what he got completely free without any hard work. But, his father may disagree and gift him a jaguar now. Such parents are aplenty in our country.

Guess his parents didn't take his love for Jaguar seriously. This incident would have shattered their love on him. A lesson indeed for all the new age parents. I don't remember my dad gifting me just because I asked him. You get a gift when you really deserve it by achieving something and every time the bar is raised. The new generation misses the true sense behind this ideology.

Well, his father should have taken some lessons from this episode, Surat Billionaire Who Gave Big Bonuses Sent Son To Find Work In Kerala

My heart goes to that poor BMW!!

Wish the pollution control board, police, court, ministry of environment & other direct & indirectly related department puts him off to good & by the time he joins the society there wouldn't be even a car!!

Wow, i had heard of it from word of mouth, but this article gave such an insight to the thought process and the learnings of a billionaire. Some of which can be applied to even the middle class people like us

Good stuff indeed.

There was a Malayalam movie named ABCD (American Born Confused Desi). This story is exactly that.

I teach my kids value of money because my parents taught me the same. Earn to spend, and until then, live with bare minimum is my policy.

I give enough opportunity for them to earn from simple things like good manners to doing well in school or extra curricular etc..Most of the time rewards are very small and me and my wife together decide what is the reward.

My kids are 10 and 5 years old now and they really understand how to earn by putting their own effort.

Will I do what this billionaire did! I wish I will have the courage by the time they are 21.

Instead of BMW, his father should have given him Maruti Alto.

Sorry buddy, Don't think, that kid even deserves an Alto. Being a top sold car, he would have hurt many. He should be taught to earn his liking.

On one hand this is purely hilarious, on the other hand, such a tragic irony!
In a country where people struggle to make their ends meet, there are such examples which reek of unfathomable wealth.
There is nothing right or wrong in being wealthy. Being aware of poverty & struggle that many people face due lack of resources, can make us a better human being for sure.

Feel sad about BMW.

Pathetic. His parents must teach him a lesson though its too late. These guys never learn how to respect something.
His parents can be rich, but they failed as a parent. I feel sad for them.
Parenting is a tough task.

A country where people struggle for their daily living, this guy is throwing away his BMW in river. :Frustrati

We often meet these type of guys on road. The most common sentence used by these spoiled kids are - "Janta hai mera baap kaun hai? ' ( Do you know who my father is? ) The most sad thing is, these guys know who their father is, but they do not know who they are or whats their own identity.

Maybe this is how the Uber Rich Indian kids throw tantrums? lol:

This tantrum and its causes did not start with the car purchase or a month earlier. This started 18 to 20 odd years ago and is a result of the way this young man was brought up and treated by his parents, by the values that were instilled or not instilled in him. The parents carry a fair share of the blame too IMHO. In their growing up years children don't learn as much from what you tell them as they do from what they see their parents and elders do. The father saying that brat boy is mentally disturbed could be a cunning ploy to lay the ground for defence in a court tomorrow.

What a brat! I couldn't give a damn about the idiot or his parents but I hope the authorities make them pay for the costs of removing and disposing off that vehicle. Is there a rule against fly tipping in India?
