Man burns down a Jeep for Tik Tok video; arrested by police

This man could have managed Darwin award if he lit jeep while sitting inside.

Quote:
The video, which has now become viral on social media shows a man casually standing on the middle of the road. He then throws a lit matchstick inside the vehicle and it instantly catches fire. It seems that the man had poured some highly combustible thing in the vehicle like fuel. This is why the vehicle instantly catches fire.

A Twitter user reported the incident to the police and said that it took place somewhere on the Kotharia road in Rajkot. Interestingly, the man set fire to the vehicle in front of a fire station, which can be seen in the video. However, it is not known if the fire tenders came out to douse the fire. After receiving the complaint on social media, the cops found out the person, who goes by the name of Indrajeet Jadeja and arrested him. It is not clear if Jadeja used his own Tik Tok account to post the video or it was posted by someone else, who was also recording the video. The man who lit up the vehicle can be seen walking towards the camera in the end.

The cops have booked the person under various sections but the exact sections are not known. The Commissioner of Police, Rajkot said that the person arrested will be awarded exemplary punishment.

Its a dabwali jeep so both the contraption and owner got what they deserve.

This is a complete public safety hazard. N number of things could have gone wrong. He is doing this in the middle of the road, right when traffic is all around him.

Jailtime should teach him well.

In the Middle Ages, in England, this was known as the "9-day wonder". Then in 1968 Andy Warhol said the famous lines - "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes". Looks like we are now down to 30 seconds. I wonder what is the psychological name for the idiocy of doing daft things to be famous for a blink of an eye and that too amongst people you don't know!! Loss of a good jeep.

I thought they had banned this stupid app in India! God, I cannot understand the joy of doing something like this?

Reminds me of a meme somewhere along the lines of "its not the fear of big brother watching you anymore, it is that we're inviting him in"

Re: Man burns down a Jeep for Tik Tok video; arrested by police

This reminds me of a time when we took this photo:

Man burns down a Jeep for Tik Tok video; arrested by police-11.jpg

A couple of locals came there, fully drunk, and demanded to drive the Jeep, we politely disagreed and continued tackling the obstacles. When we stopped to take photos, they thought we were doing it for Tik-Tok. Our carefully tackling each obstacle without any video-friendly material was misinterpreted as because we were scared.

The ever-helpful locals made an offer we couldn't refuse - They'll drive the Jeep up the mountain and push it down the cliff and let us take a video and post it in Tik-Tok. They said, they'll jump off at the right time..

However, we were too 'scared' for that too.. We politely disagreed and continued with what we did.. Tackling each obstacle one by one technically and conquer mountains.
