KA emergency pass is not enough. They are asking for TN pass as well. In fact, for people travelling to KL via TN, they were asking for KA + TN + KL passes.

Thank you do much for sharing this. Much appreciated. Were there any restaurants/toilets open on the Bangalore-Chennai Highway? My dad will be traveling with my mom and they'd need to stop once/twice for breaks. (Assuming you drove to Chennai)

All restaurants and shops were closed when I came on May 3rd. Maybe things would have changed now after the recent relaxation to the lock-down.

Some of my relatives need to return to Bangalore from Chennai and they have already got a TN pass. Do you know if they also need a KA pass?

It is mandatory to have KA pass in order to enter KA. The link to apply is https://sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in/Sevasindhu/English

Yes, I am in Chennai now. My return date is not clear yet. For return, I am planning to apply for both TN and KA pass (via Sevasindhu portal).

If it's possible, would suggest you wait till lockdown ends atleast. Though we don't know by when borders will be open, easing of lock-down at-least gives an advantage during travel.

Else, you essentially needs to get pass from all states you travel through to be on safer side. A bit of difficult task.

So, this week on May4th, Monday, we started the effort to get my wife from Coimbatore to Cochin.

To get the TN pass, she had to apply at -> https://tnepass.tnega.org/#/user/pass

To get the domestic returnee pass to enter KL state, one has to apply at -> https://covid19jagratha.kerala.nic.in/addDomestic

And finally for me to go collect her from Walayar, the KL-TN border till which her brother dropped her, I had to apply for a pass at -> https://pass.bsafe.kerala.gov.in/

To get more clarity and for granular details, you can use the circular I was given from the KL Corona war room. I am attaching it here. This is current as on date, May 4th. GO Rt 1411.pdf

I was able to collect her from Walayar on 4th. I was stopped once each while going and returning and was asked for the interdistrict travel pass.

I am in exact same situation as you, except that I have to go from Gurgaon to Bareilly and back, to take my wife and kid back from my In-laws' place.

Did you managed to get your family back? Please let me know how to do it.
