Agree with Techno, the owner should have warned in advance.

Also, What prevents the owner of the second house to get those rods removed... maybe even sell em off to a bhangarwala? Will the owners of the first house install fresh rods? steal those too...

Was just going through the tech specs of the santro a/t and found ground clearance to be 146mm, maybe in this case the baleno would have been a better bet than the santro.

Anyways I hope your sister's do make up on whatever differences they have,thats the best possible way out.

Are the properties registered under separate names? That could only be if there is an access road, and if so, that access road isn't the property of just the first sister. Anyway, there's not much more you can do.

Spare a thought for wheel base too. Baleno has much longer wheel base which undoes the GC advantage. Besides, Baleno would have hit the hidden steel rod too.
