But teach them and ask them to repeat the act countless number of times! You would be surprised at the accuracy, I bet, that the others wont even get to do it properly half the number of times.

However you have to teach them the left side too, if you taught the right one.

Dude, I tend to agree with you. In my days before I was taught driving, my grand-dad asked the driver to make me go through the routine of identifying the tool box, removing the jack, installing at the right place in the front and the rear and how to remove the stepney and wheel.

Sadly, nowadays these things are not taught and no driving school also teaches this. The advent of car helplines that send a mechanic for as simple a job as changing a flat has worsened the situation more..

I think you are generalizing a bit too much.
80% of my friends (guys) won't be able to jack up a vehicle even in four hours.
