The arbitrarily-placed speed limits have become a ridiculous joke! What is the point of constructing a beautiful expressway that is supposed to cut down on travel time, while enforcing such appalling speed limits? Also, the signage isn't exactly coherent either. At a time when the Transport Minister Gadkari talks about increasing speed limits, surely the message hasn't percolated down the line. Seems some babu sitting at a desk is randomly picking chits to decide what digits to write on the signboards.
The whole system is hand-in-glove. Police have started acting like corporate sales agents with monthly collection targets. No one wants to apply their brains, just loot the public in every way possible.
Joy of driving, what's that?
I have been issued a ticket today for speeding at 105kmph on the expressway while the limit is 100kmph. I never go beyond 96kmph as a thumb rule and vividly remember the flash as a Jeep Compass went by at more than 100kmph and I saw the flash.
I even discussed this event with co-passengers that the driver may have been flagged.
I was surprised to receive the ticket as I am 100% sure that I had not violated the speed limit.
I have raised a grievance in this regard via the app as I have been slapped with a fine for some other speeding car.
Anyone has faced the same issue? If yes how was it addressed?
Can't believe this thread!. First and only time on this E-way was in 2013, when we constantly were above 100 and up to 120 KMPH on a one month old Mahindra Quanto. Had no idea if speed limits even existed at that time.
What they have now is utter rubbish. 80-50-100-90!. How on earth can anyone drive like that?
Is there no alternative road available to miss this comedy of an E-way so that people can focus on the road and also save toll?
