Nikki... Sad to see those pictures... Hope you get the car back soon!!
I sometimes think of fixing an iron fence (like the front crash guard but on all sides) around my car to keep away autowallas and cabbies from kissing...

Man I just saw the pics more carefully. I thought you the headlight was lucky and got away unscathed but alas looks to be cracked at the bottom.

Sad to hear about it. Hope you get your car back soon and make the autowallah pay for it.

but i guess thats ok...a small crack, i think he can do with it...
I doubt the autowallah will pay for this kind of damage.
Its a cool 6 to 7 grand.
Not worth claming insurance.

No if u see carefully the HL's are out of position. In most cases the HL bracket is the first thing which breaks off. Even if the front glass of the HL is fine the insurance ppl are gonna put that also in the claim list as its plastic n customer will have to 50%..

I hope you made an official police complaint. Otherwise the auto driver can deny that it was his fault and refuse to pay up.

what's the estimate?
Any three wheeled vehicle is menace on road.Because of their strong numbers and backing from the Govt. in support of employment, low cost commuting needs of public and obviously the VoteBank they cater(Autowalla+Public),seems like they are imperishable because in near future i dont see the above reasons changing for any good.In a country where you can see bullockcarts on national highways coming from wrong sides, how can we expect anything better in cities.India shall remain the same no matter what we dream of it to be.On a rough estimate i think it would be another 20 years when due to better public transport these three wheeled vehicles would be out of demand.

Spark.

Sheeeeeesh! Sorry to see this, man :(

I hope you manage to screw the autowallah properly. Woulda been different if he at-least acted like he was sorry for what he'd done.

You got it all wrong. Here let me help you.

I'll repeat that the autowallahs are real morons!!

Seriously, the other day outside HyperCity, Malad a autorickshaw suddenly cut across a bike guy (30ish) and rammed into him sideways. The bike guy lost control and fell off. The rickshaw guy didn't even stop, and was casually going slow and looking at the guy fall in his rear view mirror. The bike guy was soo frustrated that he suddenly got up and was walking towards the rickshaw. Of course, the moron fled.

Exactly!! These kinda things are not at all a serious issue to me being an intensive daily commuter thru the highway! It happens.... but the way that idiot reacted is what made loose my cool!! Today he will be warned seriously by a ' very senior leader' in my presence! Im behind this all the way to make it happen!!
