Looks like even the speeds were high, the rubbers has been ripped off the front tyre upon toppling. Probably the whole body is damaged.

i once sat in my friends scorpio and it was scarey at high speeds

but we never see safaris or innova toppling while over taking

Hey Anshuman, you seem to have your camera handy, I think you should be at our Genpact crossing in the mornings - at least twice a week you'll see a smashed Qualis/Indica/Tavera there, last time round I even saw a badly battered Opel Corsa Sail.

This looks like one bad crash - not sure how it happened while overtaking though unless he was trying to squeeze through from the left and the 407 went left as well...................

No vehicle can be safe so long as you have a crazy driver in it.

Nothing can save u if u dont have the driving sense... Looking at the tyres, I can say it is more of the driver's error than anything else...Why do u need to drive at higher speeds inside the cities, ring roads etc? You shouldnot 80kmph at any point....

Two weeks back in Kerala the Scorpio belonging to a very close friend of mine toppled over and went into the paddy fields. It was raining heavily and my friend's cousin was driving it, and only him was in the vehicle as he was on his way to pick up my buddy'd parents from the airport.

The whole body structure was destroyed beyond repair bu luckily the guy scaped with only minor bruises... he was extremely extremely lucky as he wasn't even wearing the seatbelts. It'll take 6 lacs to repair the vehicle and insurance has agreed to pay 4 lacs. But upon our suggestion they're going to make it total loss and take 4 lacs from the company. This was the first model scorpio which didnt have the Crde engine.
