Since you said it how do you propose a bulldozer should reach its destination ?

But I get a feeling that somehow I am being treated as a government agent and it has started to give a social media vibe, IMHO.

So I think it's best I withdraw from this discussion as I have failed to convey my points accurately.
Now, aren't you just trying to defend for the sake of it? Claiming that a bulldozer or trucks are not modified? The ones I have seen don't have working lights, have extra metal bumpers, etc. Not sure if they are insured even.

Yes, they need to be transported. Either by trucks or during non-peak hours with proper lighting and escort vehicles.

There is no point in discussing this further. But do understand that my posts are against the system or the decision and not against you.

- No, I honestly cannot see a bulldozer and that Thar in the OP in the same light.
- Bulldozers no, I haven't seen one nor do the pics shared here show that.
Trucks of course they are, never said anything about trucks.
- I doubt the feasibility of that operation in our environs.
- Ditto
- Understood and agree to disagree

Forum members should realise that laws subjective interpretation leads to perception. Order mentioned here is within jurisprudence.

I will leave it up to the forum members to interpret whether these metal bumpers are safe or not

Agree with you on how the aftermarket accessories in these countries is a sight in itself. There is also a reason why these are quite pricey, as they need to go through R&D to build, get approved for use by relevant authorities, and then made available for the mass market.

When installed on a vehicle, the modification is also marked on the car, to show these are part of the approved accessories for this make and the place that installed it.

I got an aftermarket ARB Long Range Fuel Tank of 128L capacity installed on my Pajero here in Aus, and it comes with a mod plate (or blue plate in local terms) on the car to show compliance.

Wow must be one heinous crime to imprison him for 6 months for modifications on a vehicle and set bail on Rs. 2 Lacs. They could have just fined him and stripped the vehicle of modifications which were illegal and destroy those accessories as to set an example something similar was done for the modified silencers that the Royal Enfield owners were using.

Mahindra has a division to do customisation of their cars. Why offer such a service, if that could send the car owner to prison?

He had installed lights and a siren to pose as an official.

[quote=dhanushs;5321521]Meanwhile in Kerala.
Attachment 2311123

This vehicle was confiscated by Kerala MVD and slapped a hefty fine of 40k if i am not wrong. Also, the owner had to remove all the modifications in the vehicle. The vehicle is now almost stock except for the tires and rims.
