re: Take a look at this number plate!!

I have increasingly been seeing cabs in Bangalore without the rear number plate. Well, the cops dont seem to care anyway.

re: Take a look at this number plate!!

I just saw this bike parked two or three buildings away from my home, when I crossed the street to fetch some food. The number plate of this bike says WB 07D 5106. Please see how only the last two digits are highlighted.

Awesome catch. What was this guy thinking? I doubt those number plates would get him any favours at all. Rather might get stopped by cops specially during bomb scare scenarios. I feel he even may become a subject to mob fury if unlucky.

I remember I once saw the late Mansoor Ali Khan, great cricketer and last Nawab of Pataudi state, riding an imported car (forgot which make), which had a VIP number plate marking "PAT 1". Possibly this guy is influenced by it?

re: Take a look at this number plate!!

Spotted at the Rajan Pada signal on Link Road, Malad (W). The guy zoomed past me (I was in an auto, he was on a bike) towards Mith Chowki that I had no chance of clicking a pic - sorry!

The vehicle number is MH-02-CC-8049. I saw only the rear plate, where the entire thing is written in Devnagari script. MH-02-CC in small letters on one line, and then in the line below, 8049. The thing about this is that 8049 was scripted in such a way that it spells the English word, "Love".

Yes, it is absolutely real. Such numbers were issued in 50's, 60's and 70's.

Cheers!

Just bumped into this thread by chance.
PAT 1 was the registration number of a Ferrari 308, probably the third Ferrari to be seen in India. It was put on the car only during the time Pataudi drove the car for an ad. That car had some customs carnet issues, was later seen with regular plates.
PAT 1 was not a genuine registration number for that car.

Cheers harit

Agree with Mayank on this. Even in the 80's we used to have such numbers. That time the RTOs were not computerized also vehicles were not these many. Now PAK, is the number originating form Punjab. Similarly there can be MAK / MAR / MAT (from Maharashtra).

Cheers!
