Does look like it is. Another good reason to visit Muscat though! Nice place to go engine hunting! (just to brighten up a disaster!)

You can easily fix them yourself. All you need is a software called photoshop.

Is there a reason why you think it was photoshopped? That happens to be the stockyard for the agents of Ford and Daihatsu.

Check MSNBC. They have some videos too.

What is this? Operation desert storm? Makes one sad to see those lovely cars lying in that pathetic heap! How heart-breaking it would have been for the owners to see their babies eating dust just like that!

None of the Gonu pictures are photoshopped above. I have 30% of my family in Muscat ranging from 20 years to 4 years being employed there. I myself worked there for 5 years and I have a good number of citizens there who are very close friends and once used to be my juniors and trainees. I received around 250 pictures the following days after Gonu hit Oman in a big way. Above pictures are not showing even 20% of the actual disaster and situation that are in my collection of photos from there.

100s of brand new showroom cars got swept away in water, 100s of used cars got crushed under mud and trees. Major roads split into 2 at many areas, some of the portions of main highways completely disappeared. Some of the major shopping complexes totally went under water and mud where the costliest things like Jewells, Pearls, Gold, Top of the line watches, Jewellery, Dress materials and similar things were stocked and sold to the rich class.

India would take a minimum of 2 years to come back to normalcy with such a natural disaster, but knowing the wealth and power of Oman government, it would hardly take 6 months for them to be back to track.
