Well, I for one had really thought that it was "pups" for quite some time in my childhood. I saw puffs for the first time when I was in U.K.G and when I heard the name "puffs", I thought it was "pups". After a year or so, whenever I wanted to have puffs, I would ask my Dad to get me "naayi mari" (pup in Kannada)

Aah those days! Missing those wonderful memories. This bakery made my day!

In several parts of Kerala, especially the north parts, it was actually referred to as Pups. A puff was a cigarette.

. So when I moved there and kept saying Puff, my classmates thought I wanted a smoke. They then 'taught' me- it is PUPS. For the next 2 years I had tons of pups.

Saw this on a BMTC today, you can also notice there is a space between S and G in signal, looks like the correction went wrong.
On another day the overhead LED display had these things scrolling in a BMTC
