After this incident, I am sure the rash drivers will get the message, fear the mob fury and drive safely.

About 15 days ago at night 11 pm, I saw a van driver being beaten by a group of people. He hit someone and was being thrashed. The driver was protecting his reproductive organ with both hands. A traffic inspector on a bike was looking at it like any other bystander. He left without doing anything. Then a Hoysala jeep came and asked the people to disperse. That was it.
I thought the Police would get down from the jeep and do something about it. Even they seem to endorse such behaviour from the crowd.

@srishiva: dude even the cops would be wary against a group of irate and uncivilized people for the risk of getting trashed themselves.

Something like that did happen yesterday here. The police had picked up 3 law college students from a local restaraunt as they were mis behaving & after a little while went to the College Hostel to drop them off. There was an irate mob waiting for them & the police officers including an Asst. Commissioner were thrashed & beaten up. How much more uncivilised can you get ?

How nice and gentlemanly of them!!!!! Only beat up the men in uniform??
And think of it, some of these ``budding lawyers'' will end up as - hold your breath - judges!!!!
And you people are calling upon the government to pull its act together and improvice the justice system.
