800 Miles/1300kms (Lunch/refuelling stop) -Denver to Dallas. However equivalent to travelling 800kms in Indian conditions. All you have to do is fight the fatigue and keep alertness nothing else.

Guys Thanks very much for the info.

Few years ago for our white board maruti Omni (8seater configuration) Andhra cops at tirupahi route checkpost milked away my brother with 3000 rupee as entry tax for eight seater and blaa blaas ...

No, these trips have been done on TVS Suzuki AX100 1986, Mahindra Commander 1994, Daewoo Matiz 1999 and Mahindra Scorpio 2005, maximum in the Matiz. In my younger days, when I used to work for a company, I had no choice but to start off late in the evening on the bike straight out of office and drive through the night to make best use of leave. That way, most of my long trips were 24 hour plus (like say, Bangalore-Trivandrum, Bangalore-Mahabaleswar, etc). I also undertake many official trips by road. All my holidays since 1994 are by car, except those outside India. I keep meticulous logs of all my trips (dating back to 1986), hence I have more retention ability! I always do certain sectors non-stop, like Bombay-Bangalore, Bombay-Trivandrum, Bombay-Delhi, etc.

I second that..

Thanks dear Kumar, I used your trip log for our travel from Blr - Mum - Naini, We took your advice to travel on that route rather than Nagpur route.

Many thanks for that,

How do you keep writing that log while travelling?? We were not able to write such a comprehensive log even though 3 of us sitting idle..!!

I recall in one post you going to Arunachal covering Bomdilla and Tawang. Any other places in Arunachal that you have done - like Pakke Tiger Reserve, or Along to Pasighat, or the big daddy of all Namdapha National Park.

Definitely a big tour of interior Arunachal is what I am planning in may be a year or two time!!

Again, as said a number of times, you have set some serious benchmarks out here and your directions and instructions have helped countless others.
