Dense fog - who cares

Rear fog lights on the other hand are used when the visibility is less than 50 yards. But there is a main difference between the front and the rear fog light. Rear fog lights are usually a single red light as bright as a brake light. They are called fog lights because rarely does your visibility drop to such a dangerous level in normal rain or snow like it can in fog.

Unfortunately these are school vans with no/damaged Brake Lamps.

I'm not entirely sure what this thread is about.

I think my confusion stems from the fact that your first line talks about "on the other hand."

What was the first hand?

bakra!

you went out and checked it?\

Guess the thread starter wanted to convey the message that the School vans dont even have brake lights.

OT, how many of you have seen over-crowded school vans/buses and have reacted by notifying the concerned authorities.

The title says - Dense fog - who cares; but the accompanying pics don't show a trace of fog. Which place is this?

Sandhurs1: probably you don't know what dense fog is. Should have been in Delhi/NCR on Wednesday to understand what dense fog was all about.

And as Sam bhai mentioned, what is this thread all about?

You said it. Lol. Wednesday was a nightmare in the morning.

Heh-heh, I can see them now after logging in again. Not sure where these pics are taken but I can see the point he's trying to make.

Wednesday was real bad fog in the NCR as GD said & what was most irritating early in the morning were these Omnis & Qualises whose tail lights & flashers were worse than candles & they kept looming up when you were almost on them - had to be real careful. They were all over the expressway too so it was like playing Blind Man's Buff!

so is this about the school van? or the fog? or the man allegedly with his whole hand(or a finger) out of the window ?

the man says visibility is less than 50 yards .. 50 yards is a long way .. solid fog can drop visibility upto a few meters .. which is really scary .. especially on highways where speeds of 120 are maintained .. one cant predict what might happen!

If it is about school vans/autos we are discussing about, we have the same problem in Bangalore. The drivers in autos/vans, never show any signals whether they are turning right left or even when they are stopping. Leave alone the kids inside the vehicle.

As far as the fog is concerned from the pics he has posted, don't see a dense fog. Its normal (I feel).

I remember someone's sig used to read "Take the suspense out of driving use turn indicators..",
I guess not only autowalas/van drivers/bmtc drivers...but most of the drivers in bangalore want to spice up our lives by keeping the suspense on untill the last nano-second!

Regards,
