Pics: Totaled Vectra

i love vectras...horrific pics of mi frends totalled vectra 2002 .
the car toppled 4 times at 160 ks resulting from a blown tyre on delhi mehrauli road .
cost of damages estimated nearly 14 lakhs , engine is dead the chassis was twisted ...air bags deployed the dash is ripped .. what a waste of a fine machine .. note the side doors have sunken into the body frame ...

here r a few pics

cheers

Good that the injuries were not serious and I believe that Vectras are one of the safest cars in India.

I can guarantee that a seatbelt saved this life!

Also, this is a very good example of why seatbelts should be worn on the rear seats as well. ESPECIALLY when on the highway.

If this car has toppled 4 times, it sure has held up better than most other cars. Dayyum, tyre blowouts can be nightmarish

This one shows how unsafe are the tube tyres, so everyone should go in for tubeless ones.

I have heard of some tires blow up in high speeds, one of my friends elantra had such a problem once, but he was safe as there was flat land either sides and went in to paddy feilds. He was running on some korean kumho tires.
