I have done Several solo drives:

Mumbai - Hyderabad - Mumbai
Mumbai - Maravanthe - Mumbai
Mumbai - Bangalore - Mumbai
Mumbai - Goa - Mumbai (Almost every year)

I enjoy my solo drives with no one to disturb me while driving. I still remember the first time I went on a solo drive. I was so anxious and nervous that my palms were all sweaty by the time I was exiting Mumbai and I almost turned back. It took a lot of courage and determination to continue, but all that was gone in a couple of hours post which my solo drives have only increased.

My max to date is 1,000 km for Bangalore Bombay and vice versa. Have done multiple 600 km drives of Maputo Durban and Maputo Johannesburg

My longest was Chennai - Visakhapatnam - 840 Kilometers. Did it in Dec' 2019

Took me 11 Hours 40 Minutes. Thoroughly enjoyed the sparse/ no traffic and wonderful tarmac !

Did a solo drive from Kadi near Ahmedabad to Noida, after Dharuhera took KMP.
Total distance covered was 997 KMS. Took me a total of 14 hours including three big stops and couple of cigarette breaks. Roads are fantastic in Rajasthan.

The longest I have covered in a single haul is 1250 Kms from Bangalore to Seoni in my Alto. Started at 3 AM and it was 10 PM when I called it a night.

Solo drive from Mumbai to Delhi, with a night halt in Udaipur, back in 2012. So, roughly 1400 kilometres. And then a solo return drive from Mumbai to Bangalore for the Metallica concert in 2011, 1000 kilometres each way. Absolute bliss.

On the bike, Mumbai to Hubli and back (Many Mumbai to Goa solo rides too, but the riding distance is lesser than Hubli)

Did 1000 kms Blore - Mumbai solo in my Tucson in 15 hrs door-to-door. Left Blore at 5.15 am, reached Mumbai at 8.15 pm.

My drives where I was completely alone

Kolkata to Bangalore (and return): 1900 km (multiple times)
Kolkata to Delhi (and return): 1475 km (multiple times)
Bangalore to Hyderabad : 650 kms (multiple times)

I drive these routes multiple times all alone & mostly with minor halts (3-4hrs nap in car at petrol pump)

Kolkata - Pune via Vijayawada = 2100KM
Kolkata - Bangalore = 1900 KM

My longest solo drive was an office trip in 2014 wherein I drove almost 3000+ kms in my Palio. And I had no music system installed as well till that time, even though the car was bought in 2008 . And I had a Nokia phone with its own maps, which sometimes took me to lots of dead-ends and wrong lanes, especially in Kerala.

Also, 90% of my trips with my family and friends, especially family are like solo trips, almost everyone falls asleep within an hour of Journey . And I prefer it that way, especially when there are elders.

The route listed is of major destination points. There were other smaller towns as well in between wherein I had to stop briefly to visit our branch offices.

The longest I've driven solo is from Bangalore to Jammu in my old Swift, approx 3800 kms back in 2018. My car was JK registered and this trip was to sell the car in Jammu.

But we made this a trip to remember, took 8 days to cover the distance and exploring lovely places en-route. We visited/stopped at below places along the way:
Day 1. Pune
Day 2. Daman
Day 3. Udaipur
Day 4. Jodhpur
Day 5. Jaisalmer
Day 6. Bikaner
Day 7. Amritsar
Day 8. Jammu

When I was in Pune, used to frequently do runs between in Pune & Mumbai on the same day in City i-dtec Diesel & then for some event have driven to Jodhpur & back. Unforgettable experiences. I just hope the Covid issues settles down, too tempted to plan another road trip in the coming days.

Several trips over 1000 km each.
I have done return trips; Mumbai to Visakhapatnam a few times, Chennai to Mumbai twice, Chennai to Kolkata once, Mumbai to Delhi , Pune to Jamnagar once etc
The best ever was a 550 km round trip in Gujarat in 8 hours on a Yezdi Roadking in 1995.

Get stunned by some of the super long solo drives folks have done. The only place outside Bombay that I have travelled to driving solo is various locations in the Lonavala - Pune belt, with the longest one being to the outskirts of Pune - about 150 km from home. This is usually for weekend trips - where my family often leaves early in the afternoon (or sometimes in the morning) on Fridays, and I head out to join them on Saturday morning after working on Fridays.

Have done a long drive to Goa without my family (who flew down) but I had two school friends with me in that case. Don’t expect that I will ever get permission from the family to drive solo much longer than these Pune trips (May be I could push till Mahabaleshwar some day)

To me, Family is an integral part of all my road trips. However, there are very few stray instances where I had to drive solo. The longest solo drive done by me was for approx. 1230 Kms in March 2014 from Manapakkam in Chennai to Dombivili (Mumbai).

Other longest solo drives are,

a. Airoli (N. Mumbai) to Guna (M.P) approx. 880 Kms in April 2012,
b. Hubli to Mumbai approx. 580Kms in May 2019, and
c. Nandini layout (Bangalore) to Manapakkam (Chennai) - approx. 362 Kms in November 2013.
