SOLO LONG DRIVES - Maximum distance traveled

Did Bangalore-Chennai-Bangalore solo with some luggage today. 10-15 mins break at Chennai before returning. Left at 6am and reached home after 11hrs 15 mins.

Friends,

I would like to mention here that I am the only solo driver during all our outings and vacations. The maximum and farthest that I have done so far is:

Bangalore -> Pune -> Shirdi->Shanisignapur -> Bangalore.

Total distance covered (including return) - 3200+ (we also did Lunavala, Khandala, Bheemeshwar during our outing)

The drive from Bangalore -> Pune (Rajgurunagar) was non-stop with the only stopovers being for Breakfast, Lunch and Tea on the way.

Again the return from Pune-Bangalore was non-stop at a stretch with same stopovers for B/F, Lunch and Tea.

Other solo drive trips ordered by most recent include:

My longest solo trip was 4500 km (4489 km to be precise) covering Ahmedabad-Pune-Hubli-Ankola-Udupi-Thrisur-Nilambur-Mysore-Bangalore- Hubli-Pune-Ahmedabad.
Trip was done in 3 parts:
1) Abad-Kerala - 1802 km (3 days)
2) Thrisur - Bangalore - 454 km (1 day)
3) Bangalore - Ahmedabad - 1520 km (2 days)

Have also done
- Ahmedabad-Mumbai - Ahmedabad: 1100 km;
- Ahmedabad - Jaisalmer - Jodhpur- Ahmedabad : 1520 km
- Ahmedabad - Nathdwara : 570 km

Hyderabad to Bangalore(One Way Only) - 632 Kms - WagonR
Bangalore to Nagercoil and back - 1322Kms - WagonR
Bangalore to Nagercoil and back - 1322Kms - WagonR
Bangalore to Hyderabad(One Way Only) - 650 Kms - WagonR
Bangalore to Nagercoil(One Way Only) - 652 Kms - Linea
Bangalore to Nagercoil and back - 1331Kms - Swift Dzire
Bangalore to Yercaud and back - 507 Kms - Swift Dzire
Bangalore to Chennai and back - 722 Kms - Swift Dzire
Bangaloe to Coimbatore-Yercaud and back - 868 Kms - Swift Dzire
Bangalore to Bandipur and back - 441 Kms - Swift Dzire

The most interesting stretch during the above drives was Vijaywada to Hyderabad. This is a two lane road with heavy traffic which makes over taking very interesting. Also, when I drived in this stretch the road condition was good, now four lane work is going on with lots of deviations.

Chennai-Madurai-Rameswaram-Kanyakumari-straight back to Chennai in 48 hours.
Chennai Bangalore Chennai in 14 Hours.

I am planning my longest solo drive this November 6000 km
Bangalore - Pune - Mumbai - Ahmedabad - Ajmer - Gurgaon - Kanpur - Kolkata - Vijayawada - Tirupati - Bangalore.

Longest Solo drive was bangalore to Leh and back 7800 Kms. The longest single non stop stretch is 2300 Kms from Nathdwar in Rajasthan to Bangalore in 31 hrs.

Distance 1061kms (doorstep to doorstep)

total time taken 14 hours with 2.5 hours of interim breaks. Driving time 11.5 hours.

Started at 5am
Ended at 9pm

in India - not much highway driving at a stretch, may be 100-200 kms at a time.

in US - 2250 kms of round trip (Indiana - NC - Indiana) every alternte weekend; starting on Friday afternoon from Indianapolis, reaching Raleigh, NC by Friday Night (12-1 AM) and starting the return journey on Sunday Afternoon.

Latest to my kitty after my recent Max distance in a day on Oct 22nd as part of my 5000kms Trip to GJ from Bangalore:

Total Passengers - 3 Adults. Myself and Parents.
Start(Bengaluru, Vidyaranyapura)-4:30am
Breakfast at Shiggaon - 80 Mins (At my friend's farmhouse)
Refueling at Dharwad - 10 Mins
Bio Break at McDs, Kolhapur - 10 Mins
Lunch Break at Pune - 60 Mins
Refueling at eway - 10 Mins
Dinner break near Charoti - 45 Mins
End (Surat, Adajan Road)- 11:30pm

Some more numbers:
Total Break time - 215 Mins (3h 35m)
Total driving time - 15h 25m
Total distance covered - 1250Kms
Average driving speed- 80.64 Kmph
This included passing Mumbai between 5:45pm and 7:45pm.

I did 1600 + kms ride in 24 hrs on 11-11-11 for saddle sore certification. The ride was on Royal Enfield STD 350 on Pune - Banglor - Pune road. I left pune on 11th Nov @ 3.51 AM and came back on 12th Nov @4 AM.
