Was reading about the "youngest CEO" today in the newspaper, who showed his immaturity in public road. I feel sorry for his employees.

@gkrishn... you did the right thing too by not starting a war. It is pathetic that the police do not give any sort of importance to these complaints. We are forced to bully around if we want any justice.

And guys, please stop this IT, BPO, Non-IT nonsense. Nobody is perfect.

Let's discuss ways to counter rowdies & not IT professionals.

You need strongend stuff :).

SJR Group of Institutions conducts free classes to teach Kannada for non-Kannadigas in various parts of the city. They have 3 centers: one each at Shantinagar, Koramangala and Basavanagudi.
For details contact Ph: 9845989533.

Wow what a thread.
Bangalore is sure becoming complicated.
They break windshields breaking their hands in the process, and abuse and threaten.
Noida is simple.
No punches, no abuses. They just take out the gun and shoot rl:
Game Over

Looks like there are quite a few good gyms in Bangalore. But how do we develop strong palms, any ideas ? :D

I these days do not even bother to ask for directions from IT'ish folks and generally ask drivers (Sumo/Auto/Truck type). They are polite and answer with respect and sometimes even are visually happy to help out someone that looks moneyed and yet asks them with respect.

Like i said in any case the IT'ish guys are in Ac cars, loud (usually western, not vernacular) music booming all around and tapping the steering wheel and shaking their heads as if in a trance. Sure irritates anyone, let alone a auto driver. No flame guys, just casual observation!

@ ggkg, i beg to differ here. Majority of people who are educated and who look like the ITish guys are very helpfull, infact they even go the xtra mile if help is needed.

This post remind me of an incident which happened almost a year ago when me and my friends decided to leave for Mysore from B'lore. The time was around 9:30 PM and we were close to Bangalore University when we happened to get a little bit confused about the road to take. On spotting an auto we decided to stop and ask him the direction. On hearing us that auto driver immediately demanded Rs 10/- and said he could shown us the right road once we paid him. Trust me all of us in the car were literally zapped !! :Frustrati. We gave him a weired look and drove off to find the right road ourself......

More over try asking an auto walls for a drive to office or anywhere. Majority of them refuse to come... well so what does this mean to the common man..ain't these folks lazy !! and ain't they looking out for easy money .......that's just my 2 cents...exceptions could be there !!

I want to narrate one incident that happened to me..
One fine chaotic evening, was driving down the Richmond Road (one way), Heavy slow moving traffic, Normally, I always keep an eye on vehicles around me
so that I am aware what kinda joker is around me.. I had a City bus ahead of me and a Alto with middle aged guy and a white guy in a co driver seat.
This guy driving Alto was trying to explain (or may be show off to the white guy next to him. I could see him moving his hands and I could imagine
that he is trying to explain something and was not concentrating on driving. So I find a hump on the road, I slow down as the city cus ahead of me slows down.
Alto guys has no clue, gives me a nudge from back, I kind a ignore as I knew my Palio can take it once a while and continue slowly,
all of a sudden our may in alto comes next to me.. and says..
Alto :- Boss cant you drive properly
Me :- What the F*** you were the one who hit my car..

Alto guy - Pissed off with the F word. that too when he had this white guy next to him (should be his client)

He overtakes me - by then traffic has eased out a bit.. and asks me to pull over..
Oki I pull over.. I was never involved in any such incidents.. by then this guy stops his car in front of mine.. and jumps out of the car and is right next to my window and is jumping up and down shouting at me ..
I could not hear a thing as I was rolling all the glass up and I left my cell in the car I was more worried of someone stealing something from my car. .. and got down and locked that car.
Alto guy :- Is that what you have learnt F*** word, you used F*** word
Me :- Yeah I used. I will use again, if required for ppl like you.
Alto guy :- is this what they have thought you.
Me :- for people who drive like you, this is what I have been thought.
Alto guy :- its your fault you slowed down , dont you know driving..
me :- any body on earth would tell you that it was your mistake.
Alto guy :- lucky you its me, If it was my friend It would have been a different thing.
Me :- call your friend also no problem at all, I have your car number, I know how to deal with you.
Alto guy :- whatever you want to do it now.
by then his friend also joins. His friend is just 2 inches from me and his hand right near my face..
His Friend :- your time is good, If not I would have taken care of you..
Me :- look I have your car number I know how to deal with you.
Alto guy :- If you have guts do it now..
Me:- Oki you are asking for it.. hang on. let me make a phone call.. pick up my cell phone.
Alto guy :- Cant you do anything with out cell phone.
Me :- No I cant.
By then there is a big group of people around us.
I unlock my car get inside to pick up cell phone and I turn back, these jokes have disappeared.. now where to be seen, at a distance.. I see this alto zooming in the traffic.
I laugh for myself and an guy in the crowd say.. Odihogabitru... (in Kannada), mean they ran away..
I am a localite.. I have not contacts who could have saved me..or pulled me out of this situation.. Infact if my parents were around then they would have not let me take my car again.

Guys, be careful with road rage. We are educated and from very good families. Those guys will go to any extent that we can't. You may win over them few times but not every day is yours.

You may look strong and can scare the other guy with your looks, but he may charge at you when you leave him and walk back to your car. I don't want tell the whole story but this is out of my experiance in Hyderabad where pople are considered to be softer compared to other cities. Memory of such an incident is bigger nightmare than seeing the dent on your car everyday.

Deccan Herald - Youngest CEO in road rage case

Quote:

A complaint has been registered in this connection with the jurisdictional police against 22-year-old Suhas Gopinath, CEO and president, Globals Inc.

According to the police, around 10:30 am on Ugadi day on Monday last, Rajni Balaji and her daughter were travelling in a van from their Sadashivanagar residence towards J C Nagar. After crossing Mekhri Circle, the van, with Rajni at the wheel, was passing before the military officers’ quarters when Suhas’ car rammed into it.

A shocked Rajni got down from her van and even as she was trying to make sense of the damage to her vehicle, Suhas and his driver are alleged to have started abusing her, and asked her to move her van from the middle of the road.

When the daughter sought to calm down things, Suhas allegedly pounced on the girl and assaulted her. At this point, Rajni allegedly slapped Suhas on his face :uncontrol.

According to a medical report, the girl has tell-tale marks of Suhas having assaulted and misbehaved with her.

The victims said that Suhas claimed that he was an IAS officer and screamed at them: “Women should be confined to the kitchen, they come on to streets and create havoc.” Meanwhile, a foreigner who was in Suhas’ car got down and began harassing the women. The foreigner allegedly broke into a jig in the middle of the road creating a scene. The women immediately rushed to the R T Nagar police station to register a complaint.

Even as they were writing down their complaint, Suhas’ mother Kalavathi landed at the station with a sheaf of newspaper clippings on her son’s credentials and achievements as the world’s youngest CEO.

According to sources, Kalavathi allegedly threatened the women before the jurisdictional ACP that she would get Suhas’ driver, who is said to be a Dalit, to file a case under the Civil Rights Act against them.

A counter-complaint too has been registered.

SUHAS SPEAKS

When Deccan Herald contacted Suhas, he said his vehicle had met with an accident but blamed the driver Nagesh for the entire situation.

“The women provoked me but we never got out of the car. I was in a hurry as I had to attend a seminar,” Subhas said.

He said the women were trying to extort money from him because he was a well-known person.

However, the women learnt about Suhas’s status only at the police station, where his mother brought published articles about him.

I don't know what you are proud of. Instead of apologizing to the auto guy for your fault, you shouted at him? :deadhorse

Lucky for you, he was not the confrontational sort. Learn to acknowledge your mistakes dude, it will take you a long way.
